Semi finals tonight so getting on this now because I think this one will shorten. Uceny is the diamond league leader this season and Jamal has been very inconsistent largely due to coming back from injury. However Jamal is a big race athlete and she beat Uceny in their most recent encounter in the Diamond League in Monaco having kicked away with 200m to go and Uceny couldn't respond.

Lack of conditioning cost him in the end, faded really badly in the last 30m. Chemos faded as well, probably thinking gold bullions rather than a world champ gold medal.

Jamal at least should be an easy back and lay now. Will wait to see what she is priced up in the final.

Chemos was disappointing last night. Just goes to show that even if you're unbeaten and a red hot favourite you can fuck up. I surely won't be taking the odds on Sally "attention seeker" Pearson.

After watching the semi finals of the 1,500m I'm not holding out much hope with Jamal, she got boxed out in the last 100m but even then she appears to struggle when there is nobody willing to set the pace.

I like the look of Shustov here. The yank will choke and the other Russian's may not cut it. Shustov looks the best of the Russians so will take him at $7. In what I believe is a wide open 1500m race, Gezahegne is well over the odds. I think the youngster will go close to winning tonight so will happily take her at $13. I'm not writing Spencer off regardless of how she ran the other day. I think the Brit will choke in the 400 and Jackson will get the better of everyone.
