The draw is out. Jurgen will play Eric Prodon of France. From what I can find he is a clay court specialist. He did play Miami and that is the only hard court tournament he has played.

Jurgen should win this one I feel.

You all may know that hurricane Irene is heading for New York and may cause a lot of delays for the USOpeen. It seems they always have rain, but this one is very serious. I am nervous for eveyone in New York City. I hope it will lose some of its strength before it reachs New York.

He should win against Prodon. I think this is his first US Open Maindraw tournament and he is now 30 years old.

I like the 6-2 acores, but what happened in the second set. I thought Jurgen was up a break. I wish they would show him on TV here. Maybe if he works his way far into the draw I will be able to watch a match. Go Jurgen.

Jurgen is playing in all three events he can play in. Today in doubles he and Petzschner won against Santiago Gonzalez/Jamie Murray easily 6-3, 6-0.

Jurgen played mixed doubles today with Benesova. They lost to the second seeded team of Srebotni,/Nestor 1-6, 6-3, tiebreak 7-10
Tomorrow Jurgen plays Igor Kunitsyn on court 6 which means no TV for us. Darn.

I felt certain he was going to pull it out. The score in the final set tiebreak was 5-7. It was so close. Now we need to cross our fingers for the mens doubles tomorrow.

I read that Jurgen's loss to Igor will drop Jurgen out of the top 20 down to 23. He lost 135 points.
I hope it is not that huge a drop. Jurgen really needed to win that match and should have IMO.
