John Peers
Starting a thread for John Peers who is a 22 year old Aussie older brother of Sally. Just qualifyed for a futures tournment. In the first round he beat the number 6 seed Piero Luisi 6-0 6-4. Then in the second round beat Ricardo Rodriguez 6-2 6-2. Then in the Quaterfinals beat the number 4 seed Roman Recarate 7-6(4) 6-1. And will take on number 2 seed Andreozzi for a spot in the final. Pretty good efort to make it to the semis with out droping a set. Hopfully we have a good player here.

Re: John Peers
John has been at an American College for the last few years. No doubt he will be trying his form on the circuit. Good luck to Peers.
I expect JP Smith, from Townsville, to be doing the same in the next six months. |
Re: John Peers
John got thorugh to the final with a 7-5 6-3 win but went down in the final to the top seed 6-4 3-6 7-6(10). That was as a qualifier what a great result.

Re: John Peers
Well done to John. That will kick-start his ranking, although it is a $10k Futures.
He made the final in the doubles as well, as did fellow Aussie Chris Letcher. |
Re: John Peers
John is back playing this week gaining SE for a futures tournment in Venezuela. Takes on a qualifier in the first round lets hope for another good week. He also won the doubles title last week i think he won it 6-1 6-2 or something.
