He won't play a warmup tournament, wants to focus on healing his back. As preparation he will only play some exhibitions.

Yes, he didn`t get a wildcard for a tournament. But I think the exhibition is not so bad.

Okay, I hope he is at least fit for Wimbledon. He can do well there with a decent draw.

Jürgen has confirmed he will play both singles and doubles (with Philipp) at Wimbledon. He says he feels much better than before RG and his back is about 95%.

His first round opponent is Falla. While he did make the 4th round at RG, he is not really in good form and has never been good on grass, so it should be a comfortable start for Jürgen.

I think he will defeat Falla. Falla played not so bad at RG and last year against Federer but I think Jurgen will make it.

I have been away and am glad to see Jurgen will be playing. I am hoping his back holds up through both singles and doubles.

Jurgen won 3-6, 7-6, 6-2, 6-2.

It appears from the score he just needed to get some match practice and he did it in the first set. I do not know who he plays next. Can anyone post it?

Pfew, I was quite scared about this 1st round. With his back and Falla can be a tough one. But glad he came through after being a set and break down.
He must be quite fit if he does that. Next up is probably Tursunov, much tougher.

Tursunov would be really tough indeed, he is in great form. It would also be one of the best matches in the second round, so hopefully it's put on a good court.
