I like this link better :p Anyways, this is exciting for me, I like individual better than team personally :D |
Re: NCAA Individual tournament
Singh-Williams is a good first round but I doubt Singh will have enough energy.

Re: NCAA Individual tournament
Steve Johnson has had such a dominating year that I can see him winning it despite USC making the finals. Klahn is in a pretty good section and could at least get to the semis, if not repeating as champion. Domijan should get through his quarter. The most interesting quarter is Shabaz's with Henrique Cunha, Dennis Nevolo, Will Spencer and Austen Childs.
Looks like there will be some interesting first round matches including Rola v Thacher (was the Domijan win a fluke?), Childs v Spencer, Gomez v McMorrow (I'm biased here) |
Re: NCAA Individual tournament
Agree about Singh. It would be awesome if he managed to win anyway.
Finn Tearney is pretty lucky that he drew Drew Courtney, who is probably rusty since he hasn't been playing singles for UVA because of the foot injury. |
Re: NCAA Individual tournament
One thing I like about this is that it's so unpredictable. Just so many variables to take into account that you can get some interesting results.

Re: NCAA Individual tournament
Sweet, when RG gets crappy I will be juggling it with this :yeah:
Wonder if Steve Johnson's gonna shave off his creep-stache since USC won  |
Re: NCAA Individual tournament
normally you would say that Johnson would be tired but all of his wins in the NCAA's were in straight sets, so it didn't take all that much out of him. This is important for him because if he wins he will likely get a US Open wildcard. The US Open will probably give a wildcard if an American wins(they gave Britton and Klahn wildcards) so Shabaz,Domijan,Johnson,Williams,Quigley and Klahn should all be really up for this.
Would they give one to a non-American winner? Not sure about that. |
Re: NCAA Individual tournament
Quote:
darkhorses: Daniel Kosakowski Gonzalo Escobar Raony Carvalho Kiryl Harbatsiuk - only lost once this year as Sacramento State's #1 and it was to Johnson) JP Smith - Found his game and the end of the year again. If he has recovered from his illness that he had vs Spencer he can give Johnson a test in the Round of 16. Evan King also it is likely that Courtney will pull out, so he would be replaced by an alternate(1st alternate is Japie de Klerk) |
Re: NCAA Individual tournament
Domijan is my favourite.

Re: NCAA Individual tournament
Has anyone else tried livestreaming? Only Taube Stadium court 1 and Taube South court 1 worked for me so far. Also the scoreboard is a mess and there have been rain delays.

Re: NCAA Individual tournament
Evan King with the impressive thumping of last year's semifinalist. One of my darkhorses.
Tough match between Childs and Spencer |
