Grigor officially confirmed today that will not play for Davis Cup in March. He will play the challanger tournament instead.

I thought Pete will make him play futures till the end of the year :D

He will be about #3. or 4. on alt list, won't play qualifier match. :) 3-4 player withdraw always from MS.

He is 9th on the alt list at the moment - it's too optimistic to think that 8 players will withdraw (Raonic will probably receive WC).

But yes, I think about 10-13 players will withdraw.
But I guess If Raonic can be IN, he don't get WC.

I think he will not play Miami. 8-9 withdrawers is too much and part of Pete's strategy was that Grigor will not play any quialies for tournaments until not get enough point to directly enter the MD. The only reaoson he played in AO was that he was suspended from ATP events. It was very strange schedulle with these ATP 500??? Maybe they decided to check if he can perform so well as in AO in R1 matches but it seems he doesn't so they will step back to challangers and some week ATP 250. Miami - I don't think so.

getting WC certanly not help him a lot

I'm sorry, that is Indian Wells when is too many withdrawal. But in Miami also has chance.

I think that he will play Miami. He will play Houston ATP, which is the week after Miami, but it's on CLAY.

I think that his shedule will be:
28 FEB - Cherburg CH - Indoor Hard - €42,500
07 MAR - Sarajevo CH - Indoor Hard - €30,000
14 MAR - probably rest
21 MAR - Miami Masters - Hard - $3,645,000
04 APR - Houston ATP - Clay - $442,500

^^ Yes, he won't play from 14 March to 21 March. He isn't on this two new challanger alt list.
