Wasn't he having some injury issues last year? But, no, he hasn't been known for strong starts in previous years... ;) maybe that's why he decided to mix things up and give India a shot this year.

But I hope it was not just because Robin was bad. :)
Anybody saw the match? Looking at stats, we can say that Robby's 1st serve worked brilliantly - 11 aces! But he was poor on 2nd serve winning just 42% of points. :o
Anyway Robby has got a great draw since now.
Lucas Lacko ---> probably Dudi Sela ---> probably Stanislas Wawrinka ---> probably Marin Cilic.

Great start for Robby in 2010, winning his first main-draw match, beating the #1 seed in the tournament... I don't think he's done that since Indy 2005 :eek:

I hope he can win his next match, and try to get more points for himself, but way to go, Robby! :)

Hasn't Robby had a history of stepping up and playing well against the higher ranked players, but easing up when he plays qualifiers or lower ranked guys?
