Why the fuck is this a 28 field? One of the weaker fields this year.

Vinciguerra has a wildcard as long as he is fit.

Loving the list :hearts: Especially the first 3 players on it ;)

And, who knows, maybe we will even get a French Open champion in Båstad...

Schwank will be able to choose Båstad or Stuttgart if both tournaments cancel their SEs... Or he must go to Båstad because he's first ALT here?

Dimitrov definitely has a wild card here and he is included in the players list on the official site.

Excuse my bad words ,, but why the h´ll do they give Dimitrov a WC instead of our very own Daniel Berta,, a player that just won the French Open junior event.

Vinciguerra and Berta is a must to give a WC.. I doubt Pim Pim gonna play here.

Rehnqvist is a warrior, he deserves a WC. Dimitrov can play the Q event. He will come through that one EASY as the Q in Båstad is often like the standard of a Future event

Promising Teenager to Make Catella Swedish Open Debut
This year the Catella Swedish Open can present an up-and-coming player, 18-year-old Grigor Dimitrov. The Bulgarian is coached by Sweden’s Peter Lundgren, who has worked with stars like Marat Safin, Marcelo Rios and Roger Federer in the past. When the teenager is not playing on the tour, he trains at an academy in the outskirts of Paris.

In 2008 he claimed the juior titles at Wimbledon as well as the US Open and ended the season as the No. 3 junior in the World. The previous year the Bulgarian advanced to the final of the Orange Bowl in Key Biscayne.

After having won the US Open juniors last season, Dimitrov decided to improve his ATP ranking instead of competing in junior events. Following his win in New York, he won two consecutive Futures in Madrid, and advanced 300 spots in the rankings.

In the beginning of this season the Bulgarian received a wild card to the indoor event in Rotterdam. He scored his first win on the ATP World Tour by ousting Tomas Berdych. In the following round Dimitrov lost to World No. 1 Rafael Nadal in three sets.

The following week in Marseille, he received another wild card and lost to World No. 8 Gilles Simon after having served for the match at 5-3 in the decisive set.

The promising 18-year-old is currently No. 344 in the rankings, his career-best.

Re: Båstad Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated June 11, 2009)

No offense taken, clay is the worst surface for Grigor and he avoided playing on it this season. I don't know why he took the wild card in Bastad, probably did not want to miss the chance he was offered. Berta would be a good choice, he has just won RG, although he is too young for the big guns. I read Berta is getting a WC in Rosmalen on grass, which is also strange as he has just won a Slam on clay :)

Hm, then Dimitrov and Pim Pim will have WC´s. I wonder if they are going to make a Wild Card playoff between Berta, Vinci and Rehnqvist then? Guess that would be fair. Last year i think they had a play off for the Wild Card´s between Tim Göransson, Berta and one more player

Vinci has a WC, this was pretty much confirmed after the Davis Cup performance.
