Alexander Flock
I guess, this guy deserves a thread as he constantly climbed up the rankings within the last months.

Right now, he is already knocking at the Top300, with the tendency rising slowly but surely towards Top100.

With 6`3 ft(1.90cm), he is a quite tall guy.

The interesting note about 25-years old Alexander Flock, who is also called "Flocki", is the fact, that he completely changed his gamestyle 2 years ago from a S&V specialist to a powerful baseliner, because he hadn`t that much success with this style and because he saw more chances in getting a more complete player with powerful groundstrokes.

For all who are interested about that "change" and about Flock in general:

Both Text sources are in german so if you aren`t familiar with german and wanna know what it is all bout, just let me know:)

Re: Alexander Flock
Today Alexander lost in Semifinal at F11 Future in France against Frenchman Renard in a tough 3-setter.

Still a good result, as he will get 8 points for that and rise to a new career high of about 300.

Tomorrow Alexander ist supposed to play Tennis Bundesliga for his team Solingen against Erfurt.

Next tour stop should be Oberstaufen Challenger next week, where Flock probably is in main draw if he didn`t have withdrawed in the meantime.

Re: Alexander Flock
Flocki :worship:

He's quite a good player imo. Another good thing about him is that his new coach is Tomas Behrend. :worship:

There's a pic of the 15k+h he won in Breda few weeks ago.

Re: Alexander Flock
Thanks Jan!

With Behrend as his coach, there is no wonder Flocki is getting a clay-courter;)

Re: Alexander Flock
Flock wasn`t involved into Tennis Bundesliga this weekeend.

He is playing Oberstaufen Challenger next.

He is facing Marcel Felder in first round which should be winnable.

All in all really a good draw with a possible encounter with Kubot in 2nd round and Aranguren in Quarterfinal.

Godd luck "Flocki":D

Re: Alexander Flock
Alexander starting very well in Oberstaufen Challenger.

6:2; 6:2 against Marcel Felder :worship:

Now against the winner of Paukku-Kubot

Re: Alexander Flock
Puh... 2:6; 1:6 against Kubot in 2nd round:rolleyes:

At least he gets more and more used to playing challenger level.

2nd round in Fürth, 2nd round Recanati, 2nd round now Oberstaufen.

These few points for entering 2nd round maybe will lift him into the top300 for the first time!

Re: Alexander Flock
Career best results in back to back weeks.

Last week he made the semifinal in Almaty (beat Puerta 61 62) and this week he is already in the final in Brasov and will face Gimeno Traver.

That means he can make his Grand Slam debut in Melbourne next year. :yeah:

Re: Alexander Flock
Yeah finally Flocki has been on a hot run that beams him up top a career high of 224. Australian Open Qualiying cut already quite safe.

Unfortunately Flocki has pulled out of Banja Luka as well as Todi Challenger next week after his retirement against Veic in Ljubljana.

Hopefully there is nothing serious.

Next commitments are:

Week 39: Trnava, Slovakia
Week 40: Tarragona, Spain

As always on his (new) best surface clay
