The new record of the most games in the 5th set!
Previous record - Wimbledon 1985:
H.Gunthardt / B.Taroczy - P.Annacone / C.Van Rensburg 6-4 2-6 6-4 6-7(4) 24-22

It's also the new record of the most games played - 102!
Don't know about match time: record for doubles in a Grand Slam event is/was 6 hours 9 minutes (Knowles/Nestor def. Aspelin/Perry 5-7 6-3 6-7(5) 6-3 23-21

How many MP's did they save?

Great stuff for the fans, but not the players.

So, three new records in one match (Open Era):
- the most games in all (102)
- the most games in 5th set (54)
- the longest doubles match (6:13 h)

One thing is sure - it is one of the most amazing matches in tennis history :D

to say it with the words of BBC live coverage:

'1253: After six hours 13 minutes, Melo and Sa wrap up a straightforward 5-7 7-6 4-6 7-6 28-26 win over Ullyett and Hanley. That's probably broken all sort of tournament records - and broken the hearts of Wimbledon organisers still hoping to get this tournament finished on time.'

Hanley/Ullyett had at least 4 MP today
Maybe also one MP in tie-break 4th set. I saw on a scoreboard 6:4 for the Brazilians and then 7:7. Han/Uly could have first MP at 7:6 in the tie-break.
