Take ESP points at 17 June 2013
Add 100% points earned for all grass court tournaments in the past 12 months
add 75% points earned for best grass court tournament in the 12 months before that.

Please do tell if made any errors.
Players in color have secured their seeding.

Re: Project 2013 Wimbledon Seedings

Why do you have 'points' in 2 different columns? Also, could post top40 players, instead of 32, to know who has a realistic chance of making it? Tnx :)
Made the necessary edits, placed players who can be seeded if they get to the top 32.

Re: Project 2013 Wimbledon Seedings

Actually, Nadal seeded 5 is the best thing that could have come to Fed, Murray, Nole, and Ferrer to a lesser extent-- that is meeting Nadal as early as possible in a Slam before the fine tune his game and take it to another level, and especially when the grass is still lush..Rafa is a staggering 17-3 in Slam semis with three losses coming only in special circumstances: Aus open 2008 (blown off the court by redlining, going for it Tsonga); US open 2008 (lost to Murray after an exhausting summer when he won everything: RG, Queens,Wimb,Canada,Olympics, and semi in Cincinati); US 2009 (lost to Delpo but he was hampered by torn abdomen and the match was closer than the score of 6-2,6-2,6-2 suggests)

All I hope is for that Nadal doesn't win Wimbledon but I got a gut feeling he will. Grass is not Nole's best surface, Fed is in decline and Murray has the best chance of other big 3 to take out Nadal but still...that's not saying much.

I forgot the Olympics last year and I was thinking if Federer would be No.2 seed due to last year's Wimbledon win. Well now everything has been settled.

So the big winners here are Youzhny & Seppi .. move from top-32 to top-24 and thus avoid facing top-8 in 3rd round. Conversely, the big losers are the Dog & Anderson who now will have to face top-8 in round 3.

To a lesser extent Kohi is a winner (jumping into top-16) and Raonic is a loser (out of top-16) ... but you could argue this is almost irrelevant as from 9-24 there are just as many danger players in the last 8 as the first 8.

Florian Mayer will not be seeded as he is ranked 33.

No. First of all the results of the tournaments this week won't affect the seedings for wimbledon. The draw is on friday. The seeds will be based on points from the rankings that came out yesterday.

Secondly, Ferrer has 5 tournaments in the non-countable tab. Basically the ranking only allows for 6 results other than slams, masters 1000, WTF to be counted in a player's rankings.

Ferrer will replace the lost 250 points from last year's tournament with the 250 points from Auckland title earlier this year.
