Okay. Since Di and I totally hijacked the Chat Thread with our football talk and started to think that maybe some of you who don't like football will get bored with reading our musings about The Beautiful Game, we decided to start a thread for general sports discussion - for ALL sports outside tennis. So if you love football, icehockey, fencing, Formula 1, cycling, figure skating, curling, skiing races, biathlon and whatever else is out there - feel free to join in here!

Right now, I am following the CL scores on eurosport.yahoo.de and so far, it's looking good, as Liverpool and Barcelona both are leading. Also, Atletico Madrid are kicking some PSV Eindhoven's ass. Which is good. Because I don't like the Lightbulbs. (I support Ajax Amsterdam in the Dutch league, and they are rivals!) Just Werder Bremen give me a bit of a headache right now, it's 0-0 vs some Cypriot team I have never heard of, Anorthosis Famagusta or something. Go Werder.

Four points clear of Bayern, Hoffenheim, Hamburg and Wolfsburg! :worship: I love my boys so freaking much right now!! We also finally did it - we kicked our nemesis's, Energie Cottbus (for some reason, we usually always suck when we have to play against them), ass on Saturday and wiped the pitch with them. When they went up 1-0, I was like, "Oh brother, not again!" But ya know, Cottbus are dumb, they missed the wide-open goal and thus couldn't score their second goal shortly afterwards. :rolls: And ... once again, Andriy Voronin made the difference. He scored ALL THREE Hertha goals. :worship: I think I am getting HIS shirt instead of Nicu's. ;) Even IF we don't buy him (he said, he wanted the decision whether he'd be staying at Hertha by the end of the month), he was a huge part in the mission CHAMPIONSHIP 2009. ;)

Roll on Leverkusen on Saturday!

Oh, and BTW - I am the proud owner and maintainer of a HERTHA BSC group at LiveJournal. :D

LIVERPOOL FC YOU GUYS ARE HEROES!! :worship:

My favourite English team travelled to Manchester today to take on the arch-rivals, Manchester United. ManUre went up 1-0, but LIVERPOOL came back. And they did it. They freaking did it!! They wiped the pitch with ManUre and won 4-1 at Old Trafford. OMG. In your stupid faces, ManUre! :rolls:

All of those were taken on Sunday, May 24, 2009, after the match vs Hansa Rostock.

Location: outside BRITA Arena, Wiesbaden:

Aykut Öztürk (will be staying):

Benjamin Hübner (will be staying - and my new fangirl target, now that Ronny has signed for Rot Weiß Oberhausen):

Marcel Ziemer (lots of transfer window drama here, but in the end, he'll go back to 1. FC Kaiserslautern):

Dennis Schmidt (he'll be leaving the club):

Torge Hollmann (will be staying):

and do I have to say who this nice gentleman is? (signed a contract at RWO ... I am already making plans on how to stalk him next season ... )

BTW, he signed the shirt I am wearing on the pics. I asked him to write a dedication on it as well. Which he did. Yay.

And for your viewing pleasure:

:hearts: :inlove: :hearts: :inlove: :hearts: :inlove:

Stalking trip this afternoon!!! :aplot:

Including a birthday cake and card for Ze Benny as he turns 20 today. I am all systems go, I just need to pass the time until we leave. ;)

I am wearing my KÖNIG shirt today (since I absolutely cannot show up there in a Hertha shirt, can I??) and what does my dad say? "Now she's wearing a shirt that has KÖNIG on the back - and he's at Oberhausen now!"
Me, "I don't have a Benny Hübner shirt at the moment ..." :p

My stalking trip to Grünberg yesterday was a total success. :) As I told you, my current fangirl target, Benjamin Hübner, turned 20 yesterday, and here's what happened:

"Benny?"
"Yes?"
"Happy Birthday!"
"Thank you." *smiles*
"I got something for you ..." *handing him a card*
Benny takes it.
*taking out the cake* "And this is also for you. Enjoy!"
Benny's eyes SPARKLE in that moment, a huge smile crosses his face. "Thank you so much!"
MISSION: ACCOMPLISHED, I'd say. Awww, he was SO TOTALLY HAPPY in that moment!! I bet he didn't expect something like that. Wheeeee.

You should've seen that smile when I gave him the cake. TO.DIE.FOR!!! :hearts: :inlove:

After the training, coach Hans Werner Moser walked up to me and shook my hand. Yay.

And yes, there are pics. HERE

Enjoy!

He needs to stop being so completely adorable and cute. *sniffles* Can't wait for my next Benny!stalking adventure. :aplot:

Meanwhile, I've been to Bochum to watch my Blue-White Squad lose another match while I was in the stadium, but I still had a blast, and next weekend, I'll be in Mainz to watch My Boys. :) Yay, can't wait. :D
