[1] Rafael Nadal (ESP) vs BYE
Qualifier vs Yen-Hsun Lu (TPE)
Christophe Rochus (BEL) vs Nicolas Devilder (FRA)
Jan Hernych (CZE) vs [13] Richard Gasquet (FRA)
[10] Nicolas Almagro (ESP) vs Victor Hanescu (ROU)
Juan Ignacio Chela (ARG) vs Thomaz Bellucci (BRA)
[WC] Juan Carlos Ferrero (ESP) vs Igor Kunitsyn (RUS)
BYE vs [7] David Nalbandian (ARG)
Hopefully Nalby does enough to stay in the Top 32 this year.
David keeps disappoints somehow.... losing to Roddick at the 2003 US Open, accomplishing nothing in 2004, losing to Hewitt at the 2005 Australian Open, losing to Baghdatis at the 2006 Australian Open, retiring to Federer at the 2006 French Open due to injury, poor results at the Slams during 2007, being injured through much of 2008 resulting in poor results. And now this year looks like it might be his worst year since 2002.
He said that he would love to see ralley but he will stay in Europe, continue here treatment to participate in Estoril, Madrid, Roland Garros, then Wimbledon and Davis Cup. To go back just for one week wouldn't make much sense it was said.
For those who're not able to read the Spanish-speaking press, I'm trying to keep up with what's happening with David and his injury on the blog I write for.
The link is in my signature.
Hopefully that hip heals and doesn't have hip surgery like the others that had it to no success (Hewitt is still going good though)
