David opener against Berdych

After three weeks of absence due to injury, David returns to the court and will on the clay of Madrid Masters 1000. In his debut, will face Czech Tomas Berdych, one of the most respected players and best present in the circuit, whom David won four of the five occasions on which have been measured.

"I hope to do well in this tournament," said David before leaving for Spain, while he was very pleased with his recovery, saying that "the injury feel really good, I have no complaints." David returns to the stage in which the 2007 champion after beating Roger Federer in a very emotional final.

Just David's victory over Berdych in the second round of Madrid 2008 was the last history of confrontation between them. The Czech is to participate in the BMW Open, where he fell in the quarterfinals, while David takes up the circuit eager to go as far as possible in the prestigious "Magic Box."

news about David and his plans for the coming weeks from Danny Miche, an Argentine journalist.
"He suffered a hamstring injury and as a precaution, he will not play Madrid. He did some examinations with his personal doctor (Angel Ruiz-Cotorro) and made the decision not to play this afternoon. Apparently, he'll return to Unquillo and he won't play the World Team Cup in Düsseldorf next week. He expects to be back for Roland Garros.
