Whoever is interested in playing the 2007 edition of PAW Davis Cup, post your commitment here. Don't forget to post also the country you are playing for.
The rules are as of following:
1. Each country needs at least 2 players and at most 4 players to form a team.
2. If there are more than 4 commited players from a given country, the four best ranked players (as of January 15) will be part of the team.
3. Deadline for commitment is 0:00 GMT of Monday February 5.
3.1. If there are more than 16 countries commited by the deadline, the tie will be broken by summing up the ranking of the two best-ranked players of each country (as of January 15) and classifying them from the smaller to the bigger sum.
3.2. If there are less than 16 countries commited by the deadline, more commitments will be accepted within a 24-hour period, but the teams that commit after the deadline will be accepted by order of commitment and not by ranking.
3.3. If by 0:00 GMT of Tuesday February 6, there are still less than 16 teams commited, the first round will be played on a league format, with the best 8 teams qualifying to the Quarterfinals.
4. The playing rules, the first round draw and scoring points will be posted on Wednesday, February 7, or Thursday, February 8, in a proper thread in the Davis Cup 2007 forum.
i'm sure morn than 16 nations will commit...and because i'm new my ranking isn't be high, and i don't know many swiss players?!?.....isn't there a possibility to establish a world group and then a second one, like in real davis cup, so everyone would have the chance to play DC?!?

It could be done... then the format would depend on the number of teams that commit. Let's wait until the deadline ends and then we'll see what can be done.
