There were also a lot of links posted in the player forums lately, similar videos about Seb, Arnaud, Mika, Fabrice & Co. 2 years ago, the doc about the Mouratoglou Academy, etc.
Merci, good idea. You can read it Truc, is it available abroad ? If you want I can download and upload it but I don't know how to find the direct link.
Cheers Fran, I'm watching this now Lots of Gilles-Gael kissing action
I tried to d/l it too Marion and could only manage to get the first 40Kb I want it for my archive! Can anyone post the direct link for it?
He says: "Il a pas de de nana, ou il serait cocu. Il a une chatte, putain!"
The first part means that Gonzo has no girlfriend, or else she would cheat on him (that's a popular belief, you can either be lucky in life or have a great love life, it's not possible to have both at the same time = Gonzo must have a really poor love life to be so lucky in tennis).
And Xavier explained the second part very well in the Monfils thread the other day:
Thanks a lot, this is pretty good. it's also amusing to hear radiohead and the cure in the background. i like the the opening tune, as well.
i don't really get what richard says about the Gonzo match after "il n'a pas de nana." Something about "une chatte?"
Jo's present to his entraineur is hilarious! And he even tries it on!
Also, are the photos of gilles in old fashioned vest and slacks out yet?
Merci beaucoup!

The thong is a present from Wino to Jo, actually.
(Oh gosh, it all sounds so low-level when we start explaining everything. )
The photos of Gilles will be in Men's health in April or May, I think.
There also were old-fashioned pics of the guys in L'Equipe a few months ago in the now famous article "Et si c'étaient les nouveaux Mousquetaires?" It was posted here: http://www.menstennisforums.com/showpost.php?p=7780135&postcount=1187
I translated it in the player forums, but it will take for ever to find the translations with the crappy MTF servers...
What does Gillou say in the press conference after the photo session with Gael at the AO with the French flag (05.33) ? I'm guessing it's about kissing
No, that part is OK, but I had to think of you during the sequence with the flag because Gilles asks Gaël if he can grope him behind under the flag.
The level is not always very high, to put it mildly. It's definitely a different style than "Dans l'intimité des bleus" with Fabrice and Seb 2 years ago.
And then he explains during the press conference the story when they were kids, we already talked about it in Gilles' forum, Gaël always wanted to play against him, Gilles was 2 years older, so Gaël got a beatdown everytime, but he always came back and said "hey, let's play again, this time I know how to beat you!" and Gilles crushed him again.
Ok, everyone under 18, now cover your eyes because what Richie says in the car after the Gonzo match is teeeeeerribly vulgar
"Il a pas de nana, sinon il serait cocu." roughly translated as "he doesn't have a gf, or else he'd be a cuckold" cuckold in my dictionnary is the word to refer to a man who get cheated on by his gf, please correct me if I'm wrong. In French to be as lucky as a cocu means to have a lot of luck, since we say that when you're unlucky in love, you're lucky everywhere else. So Richie means that if Gonzo had had a gf, he'd be a cocu
And the worse part comes now, as Xavier said in the Gaël thread, "Il a une chatte" is just an atrociously vulgar way to say "he was so damn lucky" (chatte is a very vulgar way to refer to the sex of a woman, I won't dare to speak twice the english translation, I already did once )
Btw I'm in love with the Gaël/Gillou groping/kissing action Leslee :inlove:
If you want to hear better French ^^, I rather recommend the videos from 2007 about Seb, Fabrice, etc. You can still download them here: http://www.soccers.fr/index.php?showtopic=83242
But I don't know who is in which part - has anybody downloaded them and can tell us?
I had to think of the Gillesextards in general, not only of you, Lesley!
The expression Richard uses is no essential at all, Puschkin, Xavier had to explain it because even native speakers didn't understand it. Never say that in French, guys.
It seems I didn't post the part about Jo. I know I had at least partially translated it too, but I guess I didn't post it because it was at the time of Bercy and the atmosphere was a bit tense. Sorry, I feel quite silly now.
Gilles says he was always beating him 6-1 6-1.
No problem, just ask if there are other things you don't get, even for us it's not always easy to understand them (poor sound quality + they use a lot of slang), so it must be really hard for you.
thank you, 6-5 wasn't making much sense.
i can understand written french without a lot of trouble but listening is much more difficult. especially, when they all have somewhat different accents. I have to crank up the volume and pay twice as much attention because the guys don't bother to open their mouths when they speak.

My goodness, I'm starting to think that Richie is as we would say in England, "A right potty mouth!" Well, Richard's love life must be fantastic given his dreadful luck lately.
I wonder if Gonzo ever got to/will ever get to hear it! Richie always seems like he has been so well bought up too :angel:
The Richard part is a highlight "for sure".
The other parts I liked as a Simonfilstarde were:
- Gilles' little smile when a fangirl screams because she got his sweaty towel, I found it priceless
- and Gaël in Rotterdam made me laugh when he's listening to the music in his hotel room and also when he tells a fan "yeah, I was sick tonight during my match - that's why I'm coming to the Burger King now!"
The guys are quite funny, even if they're borderline embarrassing at times, they really should watch a little bit what they say when they're filmed - but the coaches come across as pretty annoying in the video, Richard's physio, Tulasne saying the same boring stuff again...
Incidentally you might enjoy reading some of the following pages in that last thread. It's the very first discussion (not the last I am sure) about Gilles' and Richard's notorious comments in the Les quatre mousquetaires series. Beware, it's pretty graphic, but we had a good time
Here is a complete episode of the previous documentary series about french tennis players Dans l'intimité des Bleus (Sport+, 2007). This one is about Clément-Llodra, Grosjean and Santoro and is called Légendes d'automne. It's an .avi file lasting 53 minutes (I glued together the four bits on the link you gave me the other day, Françoise, even took off the advertising ). Highly recommended. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=356KMVT3
Another full episode of the same series. This one is called Retour sur terre and lasts about 26 minutes (Grosjean, Santoro and the Fed Cup team). Unfortunately it's in 3 pieces and in .flv format. If you have it in .avi, please post it here. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=A372VSMT
Thanks Fran for this thread. I've just watched the video "interieur sport" about the mousquetaires. Do you know if they plan to make other episodes like this one for the future?
Hi everyone,
Is the first episode of Les quatre mousquetaires available in good quality format (not .flv) ? Just checked eMule, it isn't there yet.
Also, I haven't seen the Intérieur Sport on Gaël. If it is megauploaded in avi I would love the link. Thx.
