I saw this guy playing on Ordina Open 2nd Round vs Raemon Sluiter on Eurosport. He was crushed, but he was so damn cool I got a fan of him!

He has an awesome serve, amongst the best I've seen. But no other hit can be close to match it...

I noticed his rank isn't that impressive but he can get better!

Let's go Philipp!

Why is the local newspaper saying it's even 3-0 in the h2h with Mannarino now? I only knew about the match in Surbiton last year.
I uploaded the stream recording because a Mannarino fan was interested, but the file is weird, it's not possible to browse through it:

Rather a match to forget from Philipp's perspective anyway.

First mach of the day today (12:00).

He just said Mannarino was better after the singles match, didn't mention any injury or condition problem. It's so hard to get news about him.
In the German article he says everybody in Melbourne was talking him out of playing Heilbronn, but I guess it's just because of the long trip.

Some pics of his 2nd round:

:hatoff: Thank you for answer to me Truc. :hatoff:

The information eased my self in any case. Hopefully condition is looking up next tournament in Zagreb. By the way, I thought Philipp is under contract with Nike. I'm so unexpectedly Philipp is not under contract with Nike. How about Reebok Philipp ???

Philipp beat Karlovic on indoor hard 76 61 in Mons 2005, but against the home crowd I expect him to choke. I can already imagine some nerve-wracking slice rallies when he needs his second serve.

The first few days of the week bet365 will show the two evening matches from 17:00. :)

Let's forget the doubles final, that totally makes up for it:
"Becker sollte aufpassen, was er sagt. Vielleicht hat ihm seine neue Freundin den Blick vernebelt. Er macht uns immer schlecht."
"Becker should watch what he says. Maybe his new girlfriend is making him confused. He always runs us down."
(Becker whined again a few days ago in the media that German tennis players are shit.)

:yeah:

If he through to the doubles SF or Final, what about Rotterdam qualifying ?
Hopefully Rotterdam give a WC to Philipp. I know it :cuckoo: .

:( Bad semifinal loss. 46 46 to Damm/Lindstedt and they clearly missed the cut in Rotterdam.

So only Memphis and Delray Beach are left before the Masters events.

He will lose more points now, around 160 in singles and 200 in doubles the next few weeks. It's obvious that he won't have a chance to play with Peya in IW and Miami.

This doubles draw looks like the big chance to earn big points. 0-90-180-300-500 point structure in Memphis.

Petzschner/Peya d. (WC)Delic/Levine 6-2 7-6(2)

They struggled a bit on serve from 6-2 *2-1, but who cares now. 47% return points won and the big server Delic got broken 3 times. :yeah: Like in Zagreb, they face Hanley/Kerr in the QF. They better win this or soon they will have more second round defeats than Gulbis.

That he won doesn't mean it was a good draw. ;) He really made the big points today, he basically played only 2 good return games and struggled on serve quite a few times, made even 3 points less than Jarkko in the second set.

Kunitsyn is next. Last year he lost to him 4 and 1, but maybe indoors it will be better. :yeah:

:worship: Well done Philipp :worship:

That's very big win against Nieminen. Still stay in the tournament both event.
Hopefully get some point and prize money here. There's no end to what we wants,
but I really wanna see another display trophy. ;)

Really good:

Believe it or not, but if they beat the winner of Cerretani/Fisher vs Parrott/Polasek, they will get into the top 8 team ranking.

I would be really suprised, if Philipp didn't get a Davis Cup nomination next Tuesday. He has beaten a lefty this week, who isn't worse than Melzer, so he showed that he wouldn't be hopeless in singles. In doubles he was in the "pole position" anyway, so it was up to the others to show something special, but that didn't happen. Picasso is now 7-4 on ATP level doubles this year, while Kas is 6-6. I would be pleased to see a Kas/Petzschner doubles, but Schüttler seems to be in a good position to get nominated. 2 out of Petzschner/Schüttler/Kas/Zverev should get nominated.
