"I would not want to blame the organizers, but what happed today came as a bit of a shock. My match was scheduled as the fifth match of the day on central court. It was not supposed to start before 18:30. The first two matches were really long so I decided to get some sleep because I had a big meal. When I woke up Panfil was playing on central court. I knew that the match scheduled after that, Calleri against Armando, was going to be really long. After Panfil's first set I got a phone call that I'm playing next. Panfil finished in 15 minutes, which gave me insufficient time to prepare for the match. I had stomach problems, I do not know why I was not moving on the court and couldn't play the way I normally do. I did not want to retire because I want to compete in the doubles' draw".
"I am sorry, I feel bad because I let down the fans and I let myself down but I will say one thing - I will never forget what happened here today and I will remember what the organizers did".
"I know that my opponent was put in the same position. But he was at the courts. I should be informed earlier about the change of schedule. This does not change the fact that according to my calculations I should start my match at about 20:00. Knowing this I ate a big meal. I thought only the ATP can move last matches to other courts. I was never put in a situation like this anywhere before, so I may be wrong".
"In my opinion, if you make that kind of a decision, you should inform the player much earlier than 15 minutes before the match. On the other hand, I guess I should that them that they called at all I was able to play the match. It was better for me not to retire the match since I want to play doubles".
"I am sorry. I got my first ATP points on these courts. This has always been a special tournament for me. I always left it all on the central court here in Sopot and you all saw what happened today. I apologize to everybody".
lol, is he a pain in the ass?
All I know about him is that he's teamed with Oli to win some challengers, and he has pretty eyes.
I have a couple of pictures of Matkowski/Fyrstenberg which I will scan in the coming days and put here. (From my SLR camera... takes me forever to finish a film when I'm not at the tennis!) Fyrstenberg...there's something I like about him...I'm not entirely sure what it is  (How do you say his name... Mar-ee-oosh? (like push?) LOL Phonetics over the internet...it's great!
