Re: ~*~ Next stop Indian Wells ~*~

They lost 4-6 4-6 :( They were up an early break in the first but lost it and couldn't really get anything after that. had lots of chances and deuce points on knowles/nestor's serve games in the 2nd and couldn't convert. :( They really wanted this one, too.

Ah well, onto miami!

its a pity they lost :(

Knowles/Nestor Win 15th ATP Masters Series Shield

Defending champions Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor clinched their 15th ATP Masters Series team shield with an explosive victory over top seeds Bob and Mike Bryan in the Pacific Life Open final Saturday. Knowles and Nestor fell behind 1-3 in the first set but soon after seized the momentum after wearing down the Bryans with blistering groundstrokes and quick hands at the net.

Nestor was in particularly hot form, serving up a storm and hitting several clean forehand return winners. Knowles/Nestor broke the strong serve of Bob Bryan on two consecutive occasions to set up their first-set win and then broke Mike Bryan to love in the first game of the second set. They twice faced decisive points at deuce on their serves in the second set but held firm to close out the match 6-4, 6-4.

Knowles and Nestor, who took out second seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi in the semfinals, were appearing in their third consecutive ATP Masters Series final. They claimed their fourth title in Indian Wells and their second title of 2006. They have reached finals in four of their past five tournaments.

Knowles said: "We're excited that we played a great tournament this week. We had a slow start to the year but we feel great about the way we're playing and hope to keep this momentum going."

Erlich/Ram tomorrow. I like them too, I saw them beat the twins last summer in LA, they are very good, it'll be a tough match for the guys but hopefully they can pull it out :)
