Lets see losing control of the car in wet conditions. Depends on the speed the car was travelling it's not something to be trivialised. He was lucky nothing serious happened, which is what truly counts. Not like he was bumped at the lights with a slow speed from someone not braking in time.
He was lucky nothing serious happened is not quite the same as he was lucky to stay alive, is it? And I do agree that trivializing is not the way - but having some perspective never hurts.
Ungur won easily 6-3 6-2. One player is in a good run of form and the other isn't. Ungur really didn't look like losing this one. Kavcic was really defensive in his positioning, can tell he lacks confidence.
I wonder what has happened to Blaz? He looked to be in good form earlier in the year and was even playing well indoors. Does he have an injury at the moment?
Blaz got an excellent result today 6-2 6-2 6-2 over Duckworth, definitely has a winnable match against Seppi or Leo Mayer. Impossible to tell about the match from the scoreboard.
Blaž playing second round of Bastad 250, and his form seems to be pretty good. Forehand is firing. Also serve looks pretty good.
4-4 vs. Berlocq.
Kavcic got his first service game after about 10 deuces, and after that he really started firing. Hope he can win this, would be a good confidence boost.
Blaž is still aiming for TOP 50 and before new season he goes DjokoviC nutrition-wise! Almost stopped eating pasta, stopped eating meat, cut consuming diary products and no food with gluten on his plate. His first tournament of the year's gonna be Doha 250, then Sydney and AO.
He also started practising yoga with help of his GF video below
He won today after Stepanek retired. Tough match against Federer next but he has nothing to lose here. He should go into the match believing in himself and give it his best shot.
Another challenger win for Blaz. These may be weak challengers but at least he been successful at them and got his ranking back into the top 100 after his injury.
Blaz is through to the QF in Nanchang and up to #90 in the live rankings. It's been a very successful trip to Asia and he really seems focused on getting back to full strength after the injury.
Blaz beat Donskoy comfortably to move into the final of his 4th Challenger in a row. He was very sharp today and completely overpowered Donskoy. You can see why he came home from Asia to play here even though he head back East to Taiwan next week. He pulled in an impressive crowd for a Challenger semi-final. This win takes him to #78 in the live ranking and with it, he reclaims the Slovenian #1 spot. Hopefully he can win the final.
Blaz picked up an other Challenger title, beating Muller in Portoroz. He's playing some of his best tennis at the moment and if he can stay injury free, he should really improve his ranking.
He has to have another surgery on his foot (3rd one in the past year :speakles and he'll be absent from the court for atleast 3 weeks. :tears:
Apparently the injury started before the match in Zagreb.
