I'm hoping for some feedback about shoe choices. 3.5 level player and in the past have focused more or less on least cost shoe. Haven't found a shoe yet that suits me. I've tried Nike City Court (seems too narrow for my foot) Prince T7 (good but feels like I am plodding on the court) KSwiss (don't recall the style but feels like a lack of lateral support).
Playing a lot now so willing to pay more for a comfortable shoe. Any feedback welcome. Thank you!!

The best tennis shoes I got as a present from Lotto. It was a special edition for Wimbledon. 5+ years now and they are in great condition. I use them both in clay and hard courts. They are very good on grass as well. But in general, Nike's shoes has the best fit but don't last long ;)

Playing tennis is all about sudden starts and stops, as well as moving quickly from side to side. The trouble is that, during extreme stopping, cornering, and pivoting, if the sneaker's outsole is too rigid, the tennis player loses contact with the playing surface, which results in a loss of footing. In addition, since runners do not usually move sharply sideways, while "on the run," the running shoe sole is totally unsuitable for the sideways movements a tennis player makes.

I play in Asics Gel indoor trainers and they are very comfortable, they cost £60 and they're actually running shoes but they're very good. Barely a mark on them ! made a big mistake of buying some Mountain Warehouse Lockton Waterproofs. Outdoor shoes built for going on rocks I think but there quite bulky and much harder to move freely in. I still managed to win two short sets of singles in them thought. They where a little over half the price of the Asics .

nike zoom vapor 9's are incredibly lightweight and comfortable, but the soles go completely bald after 4-6 weeks (i play on hardcourts 8-12 hrs a week during the summer). they're rather expensive at $130 a pop but well worth the investment imo.

I got some Nike t-lite XL shoes that are very good . Very comfortable on hard courts . I am trying to get another pair . No where on the Internet seems to have the exact pair I bought . So I am going back to where I got them from soon , to buy a spare pair .

Tennis shoes are a vital choice on the court, there are much variety of designs for different surfaces. It’s beneficial to wear appropriate shoes on every surface in order to maintain a proper grip on the tennis court.
The three most popular models on amazon mens tennis shoes are hardcourt, clay court, and hybrid shoes for the Florida environment.
Hardcourt designs have to be sturdier than most because of the rough surface. It is common for players to squeeze their feet all around to properly move and adjust on the court.

Just ordered a pair of Djokovic's shoes. Bit of a gamble as I haven't tried them on and my previous shoes were by Wilson, but couldn't pass on a solid -60% discount on the last pair. Would've preferred a different colorway (the blue or red e.g.), but can't be too picky bargain hunting. Expect the sole pattern to be versatile on all courts as well as for padel. Anyone tried/using them?

Bump. What is MTF wearing?

Ordered a pair Babolat Jet Mach 3's to try out. Again a -60% bargain pick. Wanted to try sth lighter and faster. Albeit still rehabbing from a leg injury so will see about that speed for the time being. This colorway:

Have a good bit of arch in my foot so I think Nike's e.g. aren't the best for that kind of a foot shape.
