Just venting

Sorry, I'm opening a new thread as I feel a little bit frustrated

I was checking GM looking for some info regarding DC (Big Mistake ). Somebody (a Roger fan) bumped all these old threads.
"Why doesn't Federer like Djokovic"
Federer: "i dont trust his injuries...i think he is a joke"

plus few more new threads (started by Rafa and Murray fans)

"Djokovic hasn't won a title since May"

"Djokovic is being written off? How many majors will he win?"

Pathetic, there is no end to this crap. . As much as I like Roger, Rafa and Murray I'm getting sick and tired of some of their fans who have nothing else to talk about. They favorite sport is "let's trash Novak". I guess it makes them feel better.

Why does it feel so good to bash Djokovic now? Why are they so obsessed with Novak? I guess he must be still very good as they are so scared even when Djokovic has been losing left and right to Nadal, Murray and Federer in last few months. I don't get it. Sorry, I had to vent.

yeah but the problem is I agree with part of that threads, I'm a Nole fan, it's true but imho he has to change some things and sometimes he has to change his behaviour on court too

I'm waiting

and btw it's true after AO he did not won anything special, imo he had to work harder instead trying to be a public personage (this is important yeah, but working hard is always the first for a YOUNG athlete)

Completely disagree, course.

Alex, leave it. Utter BS. Novak 'fans' worries me more.

bumping the first two, yes is a problem...

..but as for the second two, I've seen those for other players as well in the past when it's been a while between tournament victories or it appears a player is in a slump. MTF is first to overreact to everything  I haven't actually read the threads in question, but I know I have seen similar ones for other players in the past.

Yes, for example "Djokovic hasn't won a title since May" with Maya's (gio's) posts/explanations is quite ok for me. Who wants to laugh...well, let him.

Alex  Sorry - have been really busy at work all day, and no time to access MTF or read your thread til now

Sadly things like this often happen on the Internet - there is a kind of mob mentality - mainly because people can be bullying, viscious and spiteful towards their "target" without having to face them in "real life". Nole is not the only one that suffers abuse to be fair - GM is full of cr*p against players be it Federer, Nadal, "Boredo", Davydenko or whoever - words like "faker", "doper", "cheater" etc are thrown out by people who would run the other way and hide if faced with the object of their abuse in the real world. Having said that, I do feel Nole is the target for most of the "hate", and it makes me:mad: too, but answering them and getting caught into some slanging match is just lowering down to the attackers' level, so I always ignore it

In many ways, it is a compliment to Nole, as stupid fans from ALL fan bases see him as their biggest threat to their favourite - be they Federer or Nadal fans - and many others too :) And the more people who say they "hate" him, proves he has got into their consciousness whether they accept it or not!

So please try not to let the fools worry you

My smarty:hug: Of course that's compliments. Talking about someone every day so much...whoever he is must be very important. But you can see many Fed hatred threads, reborned. Sadly, nothing new.

Thanks Tangy, you have a good point. I feel great today. I was just cranky last night after a long day at work. The discussion about Novak is still going on in GM. I still don't get it but whatever. I'd expect them to talk about Murray who had a great run in New York. Nobody is talking about him atm, I find MTF to be very bizarre sometimes. I'll stick with my decision not to participate in GM. Cheers everyone :wavey:.

I agree with Jess, MTF always overreacts. Rafa had that "slump" where he didn't win a title in 7 months or something (was that this year? My mind can be bad with remembering those sorts of things) and then, of course, he dominated on the clay as usual. Roger's little situation hit him, but of course he was still a dominant player at the USO. GM was so quick to write both of them off.

Try not to let GM affect how you think.

There was a same exact thread (and I think even the wording was pretty much similar ) re: Rafa not winning a title in a long time during Early Spring this year, which also predicted that he wouldn't win a single title this year. Turns out, Rafa went on a streak like never before :rolls: Maybe this can serve as a jinxing thread, no? ;) :p

Alex  Sometimes I get tired of it too, and wish Nole would stay out of the spotlight. However, GM's bumping and thread-churning cannot be controlled, I fear :p Most of the old threads are actually pretty funny :rolls: Entertaining stuff :yeah:

I'm really proud of 99% of Nole fans. We don't get into stupid arguments any more. I refuse to post in GM. It's not worth it. I can argue something with intelligent people but there are too many silly kids in GM. I have nothing to say to them.
