If you hate rain as much as I do, please post in here!

How many times has play been suspended so far?

Re: The Rain Haters thread

Rebecca, what are you doing at the library!!!!!!! You get the most random chances to meet players during a rain delay 'cause they are as hopeless as you! Walk around! Stop talking to us and bump into somebody!

Rebecca, the rain just sucks. I was supposed to go today but the forecasts were all the same and forever unchanging. I will give it a shot tomorrow!. Oh one more thing, the rain can kiss my ass. :)

I've been told that t has something to do with the fact that there aren't any drainage systems on hardcourts, and there's no place for the rain water to go once you roll the covers up. Of course that just leads us to the next question, why aren't there drainage systems on hard courts? Maybe expense.

This is a brand new stadium that they spent tens of millions of dollars on... I see no excuses for anything...

That's a good point, bunk. I got that information from the groundskeeper at my local tennis club. I can understand why a local club wouldn't have the best facilities (the rain removal system there is the members who want to play that day armed with squeegees and towels), but a new, professional facility is different. This might be a good e-mail question for the commentators to answer.

Well according to our commentators, that is seemingly increasingly unlikely  . They're saying that they are already considering changing the Order of Play, starting earlier tomorrow and generally treating today as a total washout, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

yeah...
on one hand, one more day rest would be good for Kiwi because he has played a lot the last two weeks
on the other hand, I would like to see some action

That brunette woman crying was maybe Juan's girlfriend who came here with a bunch of people.

About the starting earlier tomorrow idea, I'd like that because I might give it a shot at going tomorrow and it'll help the schedule to catch up. The forecast says it will start clearing on Wednesday which will be the start of some hot sunny weather for Thursday to the Long Weekend (we have a long weekend here this weekend called "Civic Holiday" for the 1st of Aug.). Let's hope for the best! :)

Good Luck YoursTruly. Actually that would suit me too because where I work are on strike Thursday and Friday :), so if I have to stay up all night tomorrow and til the end of the tournament it won't matter because I can sleep all day!!!!! I was totally dreading staying up all night to watch David's live scoring tonight and then have to go to work!!

And yes - the brunette crying at J-C's match was Patricia.
