As an addition to the thread in GM about Andy, I decided to post something in here for you guys. I don't think GM could handle so many positive Andy threads in one day.
Roddick along with Federer are the only players to have won 50+ matches in the past 4 years. If Roddick wins another 4 matches, then him and Federer are the only players to have won at least 60+ matches in each of the past three years.
I think you should start another - Andy's the only player this year to win a title on all 5 surfaces. It can only change if Roger plays TMC and wins it, since what he's missing is carpet.

Thank you for that. Its nice to put it into perspective. Why are people on his case all the time when he achieves a lot each year and is so consistent? I was looking at grand slam results over the last 5 years (yes im that cool) and it suprised me as a relative newbie to the tennis world how many times Roger only made it the first round, even the year before he won Wimbledon for the first time. Whereas if you look at Andy's hes very consistent and its all quarters, semis, runner ups and that one special winner (we're ignoring Roland Garros and Us Open this year). 2006 is his year i can tell.

For years Andy was touted as the future of American tennis, to take over where Pete and Andre left off. Unfortunately for him, this over-hyping turned off some people. Andy's strong personality also comes through when he plays, and some people have been rubbed the wrong way by this. Sometimes people just go to extremes to kick a disliked player when he's down. They think that Andy thinks he's all that, and so they take any opportunity to point fingers and say "Ha-ha! Loser!"
