Thought about sharing a personal research ... of course if you see any mistake please tell me ;)

All players who reached a slam final after their 27th birthday in the open era are supposed to be here. For instance if Nadal reaches Roland-Garros (French open) final in 2013 he will join the list with "27 years old" exactly :)

Players are ordered with numbers according to their age in their last slam final.

The blue colour is for the finals won.

Bolded is when it's their last slam final, bolded blue is when it's their last slam win.

The month is supposed to be correct but I didn't check that precisely, it can be one month more or less, I mean sometimes I considered the number of months fully past, sometimes I rounded the number of months (I mean 27 y 9 m & 28 d is nearly 27 y & 10 m) ; besides I only checked the precise number of days when players were equal. This number of days is supposed to be for the day of the final.

Re: Old grand slam finalists (>= 27 years old)

Great list! Only thing I missed was Jimmy Connors Wimby final 1984 against McEnroe.

Talking about Connors, known like few others for longevity, I find it mildly amusing that he figures in the two highest entries on the list - as the young opponent to Rosewall.

Thanks I added it :yeah:

yes, and he was typically the young cruel guy to the old Rosewall actually, leaving him very few games ... just as McEnroe was to him in his own last slam final
