aka High School Backstabbing Contest.

Yes it is that time again. The ACC is over and now it is time to crown the most popular poster on MTF. MTF is in a bit of a flux these days with many new people.

I will take my cues from Nathii's running of the 2010 contest, a contest she ran exceptionally well.

1. This year's edition is run by myself, Johnny Groove and Freak3yman84.

2. The idea is to choose the most popular poster on MTF. Everyone has got their own definition of "popularity," but remember this is a positive contest - reversed to ACC. You vote for someone you like, find intelligent, think they're good contributors to the board, are charismatic, funny, awesome.

3. Nominations will run for a few days, maybe a week, until we get sufficient nominations. 128 probably, but maybe more or less. Seedings will be done by nominations.

4. You must have at least 300 posts to add a nomination because of the sad experiences with double accounts in the past (this gives some more safety). There are no restrictions to how many people you nominate, but you are only allowed to nominate a given poster once.

5. Note to everyone - if you want to insult someone, go to the ACC threads. This one is opened already now because word on a street says there will be also other contests and all should close before Christmas, when people are still around the computer and can participate.

6. We don't mind a little bit of controversy - it occurs every year and makes things more entertaining, but it needs to be at moderate level. You are allowed to give reasons to the votes and the previous editions have clearly showed on average basis this is *not* an arselicking contest (if you have doubts, take your time to read threads from the previous years rather than base of own first impression). Jokes are jokes, but if someone feels *seriously* harassed do not hesitate to send us a PM. We'd like to handle this behind the scenes alone or with a mod participation if unsolvable otherwise.

Reminder: A semifinalist from two years ago, bad gambler, not only didn't beg or campaign but was unaware he achieved that round! A finalist from last year, Peta Pan, didn't campaign herself and didn't have anyone else doing it for her! A semifinalist, adee-gee, was away from the computer in a foreign country and barely aware how he was progressing here! A quarterfinalist, TMJordan, was on holiday in Miami and didn't vote/beg/campaign/post at all! You cannot say only being fake nice during the contests lifts you up high here. No.

8. Withdrawals are generally not accepted especially for the reasons like "I am afraid I will not win," "This contest is run by a Rafatard and a manipulative bitch," "I may not get as many votes as I would like," "I was away for the whole year and nobody knows me anymore, and I probably will lose in R1," I am too old for this," "I don't have enough v-cash to buy votes and bad gambler's account disappeared so he won't give me a present," "A person who doesn't like me might vote for my opponent on purpose" If you really have a valid reason send us a PM and we will discuss it.

If there are any more rules that need to be discussed, I will add them here.

I'm overwhelmed with the support I got in this competition. Really, thank you people. Thanks for all the votes and especially for all the kind comments. I never thought I'd get this far (and I'm really not just saying this, I really didn't think I'm this popular). This forum is really full of great people, and I'm glad a lot of them also find me a good poster.
Congrats Nole Fan, and I'm very proud I made it this close against you, the 3rd seed. :)
It's also a positive thing that samanosuke found a thing to be happy about in his sad little life. Going against his word to not make a single post in this competition just to vote against me must mean I really do mean something to him, even if it's in a negative way. Thanks man. :)

Hello.
I just came home (9.21 AM, long night :) )

This match with Dee is extremely tight, I didn't count it, but I think we're tied or if anyone's winning is by one vote or so.

I want to be serious for a little while here.
It... Makes me so emotional and happy how this contest is going for me, and I think I can say the same about Dee if she let me.
Everyone voting here says is a "Tough match to decide", and showing a lot of love for us both. MTF people, you're really making me emotional and happy.
Dee is one of my favorite people to read all over the internet, MTF is since this 2012 a great part of my life. I can't believe actually people is voting for me here, considering who's my oponnent, a person who deserves nothing but love... But these things are making me really happy:

- Those who vote for me are showing a lot of love and respect for her.
- Those who vote for her, have a lot of nice feelings for me.

Really, people, thank you all.
I still think i'm going to lose this match, and I'd be really okay with that, I have said this a lot of times this contest, people are showing the best of themselves here. I can't believe how many good words and feelings for everyone are on these kind of threads. It's amazing.

I'm happy MTF, you all made me feel happy today, i'm going to sleep with a smile.

Dee, darling, a message for you.

Whatever the result of the match is. I'm not expecting the end of the match, I'd be expecting the symbolic hug we're gonna have at the net

This, and only this.

Oh no sweetie you deserve this more, i am grateful for this contest. This year in the contest was alot nicer than last year thats for sure. I know i said this too many times, but im so happy and grateful to have people vote for me, not only that but they showed me some love and some respect. And thanks to those who understand my situations that i have been through, the thread i wrote about my dad, and the experiences i went through, such as bulling and depression. I was going through a dark period in my life from freshmen of college to below. I dont wanna get too personal, because there's alot of things i have been through that most people would be surprised about. I really appreciate all of your comments in the vote, it means so much to me. I really never in real life had alot a friends. Im a very very shy girl in person. Im still trying my best to conversate with people. My family as well supported me too, throughout this year. Im still seeing a doctor to try to get my life better, its still a stepping process, but i know that God can make a way for me. He has changed my life. At times i will feel like im a disabled student whose never gonna make it in life. But now im coming to a point in my life that im finally accepting who i am, Im bisexual, im a disabled student, i was a bully victim and im a shy person. To me there is nothing wrong with being who i am. Years ago i dont think i can accept the way i am because im so much different than others. So im gonna stop blabbering now, this is getting too much. But anyways, thank you so much for supporting me for loving me and for respecting me. I really really REALLY appreciate it. And please vote for Viruzzz, he needs it more than me. And plus im his girl and :cheerleader:. :D

To Viruzzz.....
My man, i thank you for the support, love and respect as well. I am so privilege to meet a person like you. YOu are truly one of the most geniune Fed fans in MTF. I love reading your posts and i love your rocker pic.. I am very grateful to go against an opponent like you, i feel like rafa whose going against Fed in Miami tournament(2005), i might have lead for a bit, but i know you are gonna fight back in this match and win over me. This match is very close but i wouldnt mind losing to my opponent, hes very special to me. :smooch:

embarrassing for the organizer to not recount a match that was decided by one vote

Who cares, I had the deciding tiebreaker vote :sport:

DM would win it for sure with the amount of pity votes, a revote would be just as tainted
Exactly.

A possible solution would be Deathless Mortal, The Bulldog and Nole Fan playing a 3-way tournament to decide the semifinalist.

Nole Fan vs Deathless Mortal 23-23

Nole Fan vs The Bulldog ?

Deathless Mortal vs The Bulldog ?

AJ did the same thing. My WINNING vote for raferminator was scrapped, despite the rules clearly stating it was allowed.

He didn't even answer my protest. At least Johnny is here.

If Mikey doesn't win this, then Tripwires or Kat_YYZ should. The other contestants don't even deserve quarter-final places, let alone the title.

GSMnadal, quit complaining. You withdrew, so your vote didn't count. Get the fuck over it already.

Also, embarrassing stuff from Johnny Groove, as usual. Why did you even bother coming back? Just fuck off already.
