I was just thinking today we need a thread like this since they have one on TF. Thanks for opening one. Are you going to be posting where all the Aussies are playing on a weekley basis?

With regards to Marinko i agree looking at the draw he has a very good chance. As long as he doesnt get jet lagged from playing today and flying from Brisbane to Mexico.

this thread is mainly for discussion about the players and tournaments not just about the results, so post!

good chance for Marinko to go deep this week and get his ranking up further. also a few of the aussies can go well in Vietnam again this week if they play well.

This is great, thanks for doing this. If you were to do it on a weekly basis we would really appreciate it.

I was looking at Marinko's results from last year and seriously, that guy has pretty much nothing to defend for the rest of the year. Well nothing substantial anyway. Top 100 is so close.

easy first round matches in Vietnam we should get at least 4 wins in the first round

Leon Frost v (WC) Do
Dane Propoggia v Botti
(Q) Chris O'Connell v (Q) Schulz
[4] Isaac Frost v Nick Lindahl
(Q) Jack Schipanski v (Q) Oku
(JE) Luke Saville v (WC) Mam

Good result for Matt Reid - gets up in 3 sets against Tiago Lopez. Was a bit wobbly in the 3rd after winning a tight first set 7-5, dropped the second 2-6, then went up an early break to lead 2-0 in the 3rd set. He saved a breakpoint to get to 3-0, then dropped his serve to get to 3-2. He managed to steady the ship though, improving his serve from a low 39% to above 50%, in winning the 3rd set 6-3. Good fight Matt.

Marinko lost 1st round to Smyczek 76(4) 46 67(6)
Mens' tennis is so competitive at the moment. So close
Reid also lost, to qualifier Hocevar, as did Duckworth, to qulaifier Trungelliti.
Not a good week for Aussies in Challengers.
Hoep they go better on the Futures crcuit.
