Andyland Chat Thread Part 2 (they made me.)

The owners of the board have determined that all threads exceeding 5000 posts are bad for the servers or some :bs: like that. So instead of waiting for them to close our thread and start a new one, I'm doing it preemptively. The old one is here: http://www.menstennisforums.com/showthread.php?t=7175

I know we don't really use the chat thread much anymore, but I figured it'd be better to start a new one now instead of the admins getting involved here :p

Title suggestions more than welcome :p

we all went to twitter?

aww Sue, hope everything's ok now at least?

I haven't been around much (well, like Re I have been checking here but not posting because no-one else does) since I moved and started work, life has been sooooo hectic! But in a good way. :D

Everything is much better now;) Still some legal issues to deal with but the end is in site. I look back on the whole crap now and wonder how the hell I kept my head up and my sanity. Being harassed is not fun :scared: I had to change around so much of my normal routine mostly because my family were not around and I was alone at home. Totally amazing that I did not lose it when all was said and done. Phew.

I forgot you are now one of us working gals;) How is it going?

oh Sue, that sounds horrible. At least you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Weren't you planning on moving or something? I seem to remember you having mentioned it a while ago.

I am indeed! ;) It's going really well thanks, things calmed down a bit today but for the last month or so I have been crazy busy at work. And because I'm new to London I've been socialising a lot with people from work and friends I already had here to try to make some kind of a life for myself and meet new people. :D It's been a lot of fun but because I've been so busy I've barely even been in my flat, let alone had chance to spend ages on here trying to catch up with everything. I've also realised that working sucks when there is tennis on :awww: I never get chance to watch it any more because I'm either in work, out in the evening or I can't stay awake to watch it because I've turned into an old woman who goes to bed much earlier than I used to!  I can still talk for Britain though, look at that mini essay I've written! ;) :rolls:

Hey real life is much more fun and social;)
I was thinking of leaving. But then the hospital fired my partner.
He was the harasser;) Anyway all over mostly:devil:

It is indeed! ;)
Oh no, someone from work? That's awful. Glad it's almost sorted!

I've got my work Christmas party tomorrow - free alcohol all night and work the next morning :help:

 sounds like it was fun. I don't know why employers think it's such a good idea, but I also don't know why employees think it's a good idea to get shitfaced around their bosses and people who write their paychecks and people they have to work with every day :rolls: even if I was someone who drank a lot, I would never ever do it around work people at a work-sponsored event :rolls: Sounds like you did the smart thing indeed ;)

I hosted a Christmas brunch last sunday and would not pay for drinks this year. In the past we paid for 2. The booze part cost more than the food part and since this year I was paying I decided to not deal with it. How Jewish is that? :p

How are you Deb? What's up with you these days?

#434 ·
not having an open bar at a party is not very Jewish ;) :p  :haha:

I'm ok thanks :) Not up to much at all, really. Went back east for Thanksgiving and totally surprised my parents on thanksgiving morning, that was fun :D Sounds like things are slowly getting better for you, at least I hope so!

#435 ·
That was nice of you to do that :yeah: My plan is to follow my children wherever they go

Yes "things" are much better around these parts. Working hard but I am use to doing that. Hired a doc who will start next July sometime and then about to offer another a part-time position. Means I will be working less overall but now the hospital is pulling all the strings and making decisions. I can live with that I think :tape:
Kids are doing well too. Still lots of fun stuff around here. I just don't post the old Sue stories about it anymore. Ok off to shop. Have to hit the Freeport outlet stores and LLBean :scared: then food shop. Of course it is freezing here. Happy Hanukah btw

Yeah, they were very happy :) My mom hates thanksgiving anyway, plus it was her birthday, so it was a good surprise and they had no idea :D You know, it's funny, maybe it's because I hadn't been back in almost a year and a half but this time was the first time I was like, hm, if I could get a job I wouldn't actually mind it here.

Glad things are getting better! Hope the new docs work out! And you're entitled to work a little less :D

Glad also that the kids are doing well (steve too I hope!). Good luck at the outlets :scared: Can't imagine what LLBean looks like around this time of year :rolls:

Same to you!

Got all my shopping done :yeah: It was crazy cold and crazy wall to wall people! Now out to meet my cuz who is visiting from Ithaca

Nate is on this hot pink kick ( like mother like son although it is to support breast cancer) so I bought him a hot pink LL BEAN cannister to hold hot or cold liquids. ;) I think I have bought him enough hot pick stuff so this is it.
