Tanger Challenger 2009:
QR1-(7)Migani ARG d. Jakupovic GRE 6-4 7-6
*It's okay, because Migani ended up qualifying, and based on scorelines, Alex did better than his Migani's other 2 opponents, including #1 seed Victor Crivoi.

R16-Cervantes-Huegun/Vicente ESP vs. Flock/Jakupovic GER/GRE

#32 ·
Unfortunately, they lost 6-4 6-4:(

The good part is that Alex's doubles rank will rise about 15 or so spots:)

He is playing doubles this week with Flock again, but they will face a tough Czech team composed of Leos Friedl and Jiri Vanek in the first round.

PS-I wouldn't be surprised if Alex and Eco play doubles here:shrug:
After all, they reached the final together last year in the Athens Challenger and play together in practically every Davis Cup tie for Greece;)

Alex also won his QR2 today in 3 sets:woohoo:
Next up is Jan Hajek (CZE) :scared:
Hopefully if he loses, he'll get a LL if anyone withdraws:)

#40 ·
Alex lost in QR3 6-4 6-3:sad:
It was better than I expected from him:shrug:
Unfortunately, he will NOT play doubles:confused::scratch:

#45 ·
Ranking:
464-->499:eek:
Alex plays Turkey F2 this week, Turkey F3 next week, and the Athens Challenger the following week, so hopefully he will get his rank back up to where it should be.

#46 ·
Alex is seeded 8 and will play Norway's Erling Tviet in R1.
In doubles, Alex and Konstantinos Economidis are the top seeds and they won in straight sets today over a Uzbek pair. In the QF's, they will play an unseeded Norwegian pair of Tviet and Boretti;)

Pame!!!:bounce:

Alex crushed Grigelis 6-2 6-1:D
Next up is Economidis. I will have to root for Kostas, because he needs this win more so he can get into Wimbledon qualies.
Alex:hug:

On the bright side, Alex has been awarded a MD WC for the Athens Challenger next week:)
It will be a great experience for him:bounce:
