Aren't there enough girls, parties and nightlife in Argentina, that someone has to travel just for that? I guess it depends what you want/expect from your experience, I'd choose Europe always. Though it's also more pricey option I guess.
I never visited the USA (I'm going in may for the first time) and i visited most if Europe but I think they are so different, even inside Europe I visited London and Barcelona and it wasn't the same..same goes to the ppl in north and south Italy...
Hard call but I would consider how much time and money do u have, I never had more then2 weeks so I could travel to the USA and europeis closer..
both shitholes. american cities are just giant malls nowadays while europe's main attractions are ruins left by a war of a bygone era.
at least the USA still has some great natural areas though. then again, if you're trying to get laid, europe is surely the better place by miles. less Christian conservatives, lots of eurotrash chicks and fitter people in general.
I went to some places in the USA and it's definitely a nice country. I don't know about the nightlife because I went with my family, not with friends (I did go with friends once, but we were 10 years old). I'm sure Europe has a great nightlife too, probably better than the USA but I only went to Europe when I was 2 years old. If I had to choose, I would go to Europe because there are some places I really want to visit (Czech Republic, Belgium, Switzerland) but maybe i'd pick the US if I had never been there.
Coming from UK I would certainly recommend Europe, There are enough thrills and Spills to entertain everyone and of course You have France, Spain , Italy that you can easily travel to from the UK and a whole host of different things you like to see.
You cant go wrong with Europe but that doesnt mean to say US wouldnt be good.
In my opinion partying isn't a reason to go abroad, at least if you have to pay the trip yourself. You can party also in you home country and save a lot of money.
And I think it's difficult to say which is a better destination, for sure both USA and Europe have interesting locations. I guess there's less cultural diversity in the USA than in Europe, USA is just one country, Europe has many countries. But I'm not sure, maybe ones who have been to different areas of USA can tell about that more.
I think the third world in general is a great place to go on vacations. tourist destinations in most parts of asia (barring the high tech city states of dubai, singapore, etc), south america or africa would be a great adventure and an opportunity for getting the vibe of a foreign place with different habits.
It sounds like part of the problem is that you and your friends are looking for different experiences. But, I'm sure that you all can compromise and do a bit of both. Yes, you would have a larger choice of historical sites, churches, etc. in Europe.
In the U.S. there are a lot of beautiful natural sites, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, etc. As for partying, you could start in Miami (kind of a half-way house for South Americans and also plenty of partying Europeans) and then take off for Vegas.
i think if u have the time + the money to fly for a long trip, go to europe, if u dont have the time or the money, go to the US, its closer and its big, u can choose a place and travel.
in the end, i think the whole world is beautiful, Europe is more Historically, the USA is more mature, NZ and AO are more wild, and the east is Mysterious (IMHO) so i think its more about the ppl ur going with then the place.
Been to Europe many times and I have been to the most popular areas of the US and I can say that I wouldn't particularly choose one over the other. At least the one nice thing for Europe is that everything is rather close to each other while in the US for example of you want to visit NYC and then Cali and then Florida then you have a hell of a lot of traveling to do.
If the idea is to travel to see history, architecture, etc ... Europe is the destination. But if the idea is to party, crazy girls and so on why you don't spend two weeks in Cancun at Oasis Cancun Hotel which is focused on that direction?
I would pick US for other reasons but if you are looking that destination for fun remain in Miami then.
I never been to US, but as a european, I say Europe. For our rich history. For the fact that you can travel from country to country easily. And even it is about party and girls, just go to some country in east europe and you wont have any problems to be lucky (just dont go to Bielorussia).
