Second round vs. Christophe Rochus. Marsel won against him im US Open 2009 first round It's on the clay, so Rochus has much more chance than Marsel. Still he has chance for the win! Also, first two seed is out here and really good chance for title for any unseeded player!
Match will be on centre court and at 2:00PM (cet). We have stream there, so we can see the Marsel!

Marsel won against Rochus 1-6 7-5 6-2. First set was really awful for Marsel. But after first set, he struggled for all points, less ue, more winners, more ace, good service and soooo lovely dropshots Really deserved and impressed win.
Quarter final against Jose Acasuso
Marsel will play in Ramat Hasharon (hard court) next week. After, he'll play Madrid qualies, then Roland Garros
Fantastic comeback, Marsel! :bigclap: I only watched a bit of the first set, and then I had to go to bed. But I really expected to see this morning that Marsel had lost. Really great effort for him to turn this match around. Hopefully his QF against Acasuso will be one of the earlier matches so that I can watch it all.
He came from 5-1 in the final set, he catched 4-5 and 0-40 (3bps, also he saves 2mps on 5-2) but Acasuso was lucky there. He putted two strong serve on first two bps, third bp is Marsel's error... Then he took two more points and took the match. So close
Another good week for Marsel, i think. He'll play in Ramat Hasharon challenger next week. He'll eight seeded (not sure), so he can get pretty good draw. As a reminder, Ramat Hasharon challenger have hard surface... Then, Marsel will go to Madrid for masters qualies.
I hope he can get a string of wins here and carry momentum over to Madrid qualies. Wins anywhere are obviously good, but it'd be REALLY nice to see him qualify for a Masters event.
Marsel needs a real coach, a fitness trainer, better hitting partner and also a serve coach if he wants to be in top 120.
if not he will lurk around 150-250 during his career.
He can't progress playing 20 tournaments a year.
