Re: 2010 Clay Season

Terrific choking in the second set, so sad

But good tournament nevertheless, hope he forgets about this last set.

Re: 2010 Clay Season

Anyone watching Jim in Gstaad? On SB it looks dreadful, PHM serving at 35 %, Jim at 40% and almost an hour for a the first set, ending 6-1 for Jim.

edit: turned out to be easy for Jim in the end.

In L'Equipe:
Quote:
Chardy perd gros

He was very downcast yesterday after the match, obviously, He so wanted to do well there as a title holder. But he says he played a bad match, never found his rhythm, his groundgame wasn't solid enough, he served poorly, had bad 1st serve stats (53%).
He had beaten DGT easily in the 1st round of Wimby, but he had trouble adjusting to clay after the DC week. And when he arrived in Stuttgart, he injured his shoulder a little, so he could only play two sets in training on Monday.
This shoulder story shouldn't prevent him from playing Hamburg and Gstaad, though. He also added New Haven to his schedule since he can only enter the qualies in Toronto and Cincy with his ranking.
He says he will probably be ranked around #70-80 next week, but he doesn't think much about his ranking, he just wants to get his game in working order again and recover his confidence.
