Well there is a challenger in the 3rd week in Chile, then there are the 4 ATP events in Viña del Mar, Brasil and Acapulco. He might get wildcards into them, then again he might not.

But as long as Jaite runs Buenos Aires and he is fit to play, then he is in.

Gaston Gaudio, former winner of Roland Garros, received a wild card and will play in the Copa Telmex in Buenos Aires, starting on the 15th February.

The organization of Copa Telmex made the announcement today. Gaudio, winner of the 2005 contest, will join Carlos Moya, who had been previously invited.

“We believe that for this very special tournament, held ten years in a row with Copa Telmex, Gaston deserved to be invited because of the unconditional support he always gave. We are excited to have him,” said Martin Jaite, director of the event.

David Ferrer is the top seed for the ATP 250 Buenos Aires, where the main attraction will undoubtedly be the presence of David Nalbandian, who won the tournament in 2008 and will return to the tour after his failed attempt to take part in the Australia Open.

The ticket offices are now open in the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club, home of the tournament. Prices range from $ 60 for the day session, to $ 250 for the best seats in the tournament final.

Sounds like Gaston plays an exho in April - the week before Barcelona?

San Luis no se juega
Ricardo Coello
