Re: #1!

Thanks for the update

Hope Nadal's latest stretch will be corrected down to 39 next time

Re: #1!

Novak Djokovic finishes 2-14 as #1.
He has become the 7th player with at least three year end number 1 rankings.

Re: #1!

I think there is a slight mistake in Nadal's recent total. Oct 7th to July 6th is 39 weeks, not 41.

Re: #1!

COngratulations to the new (and former) world number one, Novak Djokovic.
By overtaking Nadal in the current rankings, Djokovic also surpassed Agassi in the all-time list of weeks at number one!

Re: #1!

Congratulations to Novak Djokovic on being guaranteed to be World Number 1 after the 2012 season.

He joins Connors, Borg, McEnroe, Lendl, Edberg, Sampras, Hewitt and Federer as the only players to end consecutive seasons as #1.

Re: #1!

Novak will end year 2012 as #1 no matter what! Even if he does not play at all at Paris Masters and World Tour Finals.
Second year in a row (and counting)!

Re: #1!

Triumvirate just 3 months shy of matching Connors/Borg/McEnroe at 9 years 8 months for owning number one. With Lendl, 4 players held down number 1 for 14 years.

Re: #1!

It took well over two years, but a familiar name is on top of the world rankings again.
Next week, Federer will surpass Sampras for the all time record!

Re: #1!

Congratulations Rafa for clinching the Year End Number 1 Ranking for the second time.
Incidentally, next week he equals Edberg for #9 on the list of most weeks at number 1. Nadal is certain to overtake Hewitt for #8 as well.

Yeah me neither really. Still, 285 is a great load of weeks!
