Re: Aussie Summer '10 : AO QF versus Novak Djokovic

:worship:

I loved the Courier interview  so cute, he begins babbling in english and then he goes, crap what is that word in english ?
Also he misunderstood one of Courier's question, who was asking him if he didn't have a lot of sympathy for Nole. In french, sympathie means liking someone and not "feeling sorry for him". It was funny how he tried to justify himself

glad he's in the semis but what a strange match that was. did novak all of a sudden get sick?

Re: Aussie Summer '10 : AO QF versus Novak Djokovic

It probably was a stomach virus or something, Gaël had that kind of things once too, in a match against Rafa in Rotterdam I think.

I'm so angry that people are calling Jo's dance a disrespect for Novak, and saying he has no class. He recognised Nole was feeling unwell when he came back, and he even asked the crowd for a round of applause for him, for having fought through the sickness. I don't know what more they need.

Two five-setters in a row :worship: So glad that he managed to comeback after the loss of the second set and that awful third set. Hopefully he has a lot of gas left in the tank for the semis (maybe for another five-setter?:bounce:). Allez Jo!

Well, we were optimistic that the draw was "do-able", but Jo actually made it happen.

I always knew he was strong, but his physical conditioning has further impressed me, the way he won those back-to-back five-setters. :hatoff:

To be in the semi-final against Federer is a great achievement. I hope that he can continue his dream run.

Well done Jo!

Re: Aussie Summer '10 : AO Semis versus Fed!

This is terrible, the worst match he played since his juniors days. I think I'm about to cry.
Fed played great, did what he does to lots of players and made Jo look ordinary. I wouldn't overreact and say Jo's play was that bad (though he was obviously somewhat drained).

It's still a great tourny, and as long as Jo takes the positives out of it he should have a fantastic year :)

sucky serving, his morale was pretty much abysmal through out the whole match. I wish it didn't have to end with that scoreline but still a good slam result. my only disappointment is the lack of topless winogradsky pictures. :D

What an anti-climax. Those five-setters seem to have taken their toll.

Semi-final is a great result. I'll be happy if he achieves that in any tournament this year.

This match was very depressing! Fed played so good and Jo was playing average.

We can still be proud of him! I mean, come on semi final is a great achievement! He played 2 fivesetters that he won:yeah: Let's hope this great form continues into the rest of the season. Hopefully some good performances in GS this year ;)

I agree, SF is a very good result for any player. but the match was soooo depressing that we kind of felt let down. I also felt that Jo would have lost/ had a tough time against Djokovic had Djokovic not gotten sick. So good result but Jo was not playing at the level he should play against top 4-5 players. I really wanted to see how he would fare against Davydenko but no such luck.
