Canada is a real force to be reckoned with tennis wise. They have a lot of stars and looks like they are rolling out more.

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

They say the journey of a thousand miles (back to where he was at the end of 2014!) begins with just a single step - good to see Jason taking it after a 2015 which, aside from that Wimbledon qualifying win, was a total disaster for him.

All he can do for the moment is slog it out in Futures and get the ranking points going upwards again.

Jason takes out Evan King 6-1 2-6 6-4 in first round, plays either Denis Shapovalov or Junior Alexander Ore

Daniel.
Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

I thought we'd see him in challenger qualies in South America instead of futures in North America. But futures is fine, just great to see him back.

Ritz Koobs is back on the dirt in Weston for his first tournament of the year. Plays 4th seed Evan King. Hopefully he can do some damage and make some gains in 2016. Go Koobs!

It looks like his first event is the F3 event in the USA in mid January. That must mean he is skipping the Australian summer.

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

From Jason's facebook page

In case you've been wondering where I've been hiding these last few months...
Early September I had surgery on my left knee (again!) to remove a lunge lesion (small tear in the cartilage) that had been causing me some trouble for a few years.
I'm well into recovery thanks to the team at the QTC and Dr. Peter Meyers and am looking forward to kicking off the 2016 season in January!
Thanks for all your support even during my off months and I can't wait to get back to the grind.
And I'm finally moving around enough to start uploading the necessary action shots again

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

Jason is down to #352 in the world. What on earth happened after that US Open qualifying loss? I hope he has not hurt his knees again!
