Re: 2009 Fall tournaments

His back is feeling better according to somebody on his forum, he should stick to the announced schedule.
(There are a few people who know him over there, their news are reliable.)

Re: 2009 Fall tournaments

Not a really hopeful end of the year this. I hope he gets everything together in these two weeks off and is really ready for the beginning of next year. I really want him to do well again.

Re: 2009 Fall tournaments

He says he felt a pain after a serve, he was probably fine when he accepted the wild-card.
It really doesn't sound serious.
He's supposed to play against Ascione tonight at 19.00, this time there really should be a livestream - the tournament organizers will be delighted if their night session match ends up being Ascione-Recouderc...

Edit: he pulled out, as expected.

Hope everything is ok with Jeremy and he is ready to go in the New Year.

That sounds not good, in both ways. If it is just for "not taking the risk" he should not have accepted the invitation, and if there is a real problem, even worse.

He retired.
A painful back, he said he doesn't want to take any risk.
If he can't play on Friday, he will be replaced by Recouderc.

Re: 2009 Fall tournaments

He's playing against Arnaud tonight, there will be a livestream on Bet365 and the other streaming websites.

Edit: or maybe not. There was a livestream for Bennet-Guez, but it stopped.

Re: 2009 Fall tournaments

I think he has, he said in Bercy that he was going to take 2 weeks holiday now. And he hasn't played for his club although they can't win a match to save their lives without him (0-24 now!), so he's certainly on vacation.

that's even worse than the mighty doubles with Gilles.

I understand the need for a break though. The Interclubs and also this French Masters "thingie" hardly fit into top players' preparation for next year, though I will watch under certain circumstances.

Re: 2009 Fall tournaments

He said after Bercy in "La Dépêche du Midi" that he needed to switch off and that he wouldn't play the Interclubs this year.
« Là, tout de suite, j'ai besoin de deux semaines de vacances, de ne rien faire. Les interclubs ne sont donc pas ma priorité, je ne les jouerai pas. Cette coupure va me permettre de revenir plus fort et d'entamer un gros travail physique avant la saison 2010. »

It must be a record, his team hasn't won a match yet in 18 matches!

Re: 2009 Fall tournaments

It was predictable even if he plays poorly in the indoors french tournaments this year. He's the local players and all the musketeers have direct entry. He will play some matches for Toulouse ? because since the start of the interclubs they're awful.

Re: 2009 Fall tournaments

He will probably get the WC for the Masters France (17.-20.12).
