Lost to this team who is not really amazing even if they beat the Bryans this year is not the most impressiv result we have seen. Well we hope that he won't be too much frustrated by this but i'm pretty sure he will be . On positiv way he has played 3 singles matches and 3 doubles matches. Now he can take his train ticket for Geneva and continue the training

Wednesday Arno made an apparition on a local tv. Nothing interesting to translate but he makes fun at himself "he has already lose two times Arnaud Clement" lol and he really hopes to be totally fit soon. http://www.rtl9est.com/collectors1.php?id=291 It's in the second part of the show

He won't be seed in Mons and the field is really great I hope he won't be eliminated before your arrival :scared:

Unable to win the final of Metz against Brits !

ahah just for the "vanne" it was good to hear. And arnaud is always good to WATCH ! lol
He's always something funny to say, even if it's just 2 words.
I like "non, j'ai eu cette qualité physique..que j'ai un peu perdu, mais que J'espère retrouver". lol
Always modest.

Yes he's cute in the video and as usual a lot of autoderision.

The reactions on WLT

Arnaud Clement: "Of course, we are very disappointed but thank you to everyone for cheering throughout the week. I would also like to thank the entire organization, Julien Boutter, then all the ballkids we had the opportunity to discuss a little with them yesterday and it was great. And again a big thank you to everyone! "

Michael Llodra: "I would like to thank Arnaud because it's a long time we play together. And it is true that this season is the only year we didn't played a lot so it's always an honor and a privilege to play with you and even if we lost today we have played great battles together. I would also like to thank Julien Boutter, just dad, thank you for your support, it's always a pleasure to come back in Metz. I hope that we will come back and win the tournament! Thanks also to the judges line it's true that we are often nervous against you especially Arnaud (Laughter) but in fact we love you! Sorry again! "

Colin Fleming: "I'm sorry, I don't speak French so well It is the first time we entered in a final draw together and also the first time we win an ATP tournament both. Then of course we are very very happy! Thanks to the whole organization who has been fantastic.

ughh ...google is much better
ouff

Mika is soo nice with his friend ! We can see how much he missed playing with arnaud.
But I think it's arnaud who should have said "it's an honnor" !!!!! Who's the best in the pair ? lol
I love "merci aux ramasseurs, on a pu parler avec eux hier..." lol ah ouai ? To say some excuses ?
And "C'est vrai qu'on a tendance à s'énerver sur vous, SURTOUT ARNAUD, mais au fond on vous aime".
Mika is arnaud's spokesman.

I love both. They lost but they're still 2 great men.

nice touch, the losers got a bottle to drown their sorrow! lol

mika is heading east to take his chances, i think. i haven't yet booked any hotel :p

He didn't enter Orleans Challenger but as he said in his last interviews he could play instead the qualies of Stockholm 250. I don't know exactly why he made this choice  he loves so much to play in france. Maybe he wants buy new Bjorn Borg underwears  Well we already have to wait if he goes in Stockholm.

#51 ·
As always, thanks a lot for all the updates :worship:

It's the first time in 4 years that I don't go to Stockholm in October, a pity. But I'm glad to find out Arnaud has liked Stockholm, too :) Though maybe after all he simply decided to take an extra week off after having played too many matches in Metz
You will see an all french match Kezzi. He plays the #7 seed who is Flo Serra. http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2009/3350/mds.pdf
Arnaud leads 2-0 in their H2H  But I wouldn't bet on him :p
I never it like it when Frenchies play eachother. :(
Is the doubles draw also out or do we have to wait for it a little longer? Couldn't find anything yet on the atp website.
Anyway it should be an interesting match to watch, both players have funny antics.
I believe doubles draws for Challengers usually come out on Sundays

36/06

He started the match with 2 aces in the first game so i was surprised . Of course it didn't last
Until the first break it was quite correct but from 3-5 in the first set it has been a real berezina on serve . Worst than possible . A problem with his elbow or something else because it not possible to be so bad ?

Playing such awful matches until the end of the year won't help him for next year . He needs at least an average serve cos here he's ridiculous  let see the stats on second serve 6/26  If he had an healthy problem he could have retire cos the second set was a real joke.

I was there today, first set went ok, but in the second nothing worked for Arno. In the first he wore that band at his elbow, in the second he took it off. Maybe that problem still causes a bad serve?

And there's around zero opportunity here to get to the players after a match. :(

Pity you don't talk to him but maybe it was better today, he was surely not in a very good mood  I assume he has said some nice words to the crowd and ballkids

I follow on scoreboard and yes first set seemed to be quite correct. But well he lost 8 games in row winning less than 5 points on his serves at the end. Maybe they can do a losers dinner with Marco, Nico and Thierry :p

And I don't know what to think about his situation  Since RG he played 11 matches losing 10  It's tough to see something really positiv since june and not sure the off-season will resolve his problems.

He has his doubles scheduled tomorrow and after going back in his home sweet home :cat:

We were OK about Stockholm he will play doubles with Lindstedt if he goes there of course maybe he would still be in Rennes at the moment of the qualies :rocker2:

No, not at all! He only yelled once at himself. And once he ssssh-ed some people who were standing next to the court, because they were talking. There was also one discussion with the umpire, but for the rest he behaved like an .
And I have to say, they have amazing ballkids here, some atp tourneys can take an example! The whole tournament looks like it's a mini atp tourney. Just less seating, shops, etc.

We will go to the doubles tomorrow and go home in the evening. :)

Thierry and Arno were better than expected in doubles, especially the second set. They had some pretty good points, but sadly it was not enough to win.
And this match too, Arno only discussed one or two times with the umpire, but he even smiled a lineswoman in the beginning of the match.

They had to start earlier, because Bohli twisted his ankle and retired. My sister and I walked on court, we saw Arno watching, he said hi, we asked him what happened with Bohli. But there was no more time for conversation... Arno left to prepare for his match. After the match we didn't have a chance to talk to Arno, as I said, they can leave the court without having to pass the audience, so no opportunity to get to them. We discovered we could've waited at the cars, but that was too late. Gicquel and Mahut told us Arno already left.
Didn't know Mahut was so easy to talk to! And his English is impressive!
We went up to him talking in English, then he asked in French if we could speak French. Obviously not, so he went on in English, asking where we were from and for how long we were there. Then when I wanted to ask him for Irina about Lagardere, it started raining really heavy again and he ran to the car, so no more time for that. :(
It heavily rained the whole day, at some point the drivers of the official cars drove right over the sidewalk up to the players entrance. If they had to walk those few meters, they would've been soaked. And then we come back in NL after 3 days of rain to find out that a part of the train station and some parts in town flooded. As if we hadn't seen enough rain. :p

edit: Here's my best picture of the doubles match. http://www.flickr.com/photos/33890492@N02/3993435262/
Don't know when the rest will be added, I still have tons of pics to edit and upload. Photoshop crashed and other editing programs don't have the same batch editing options. I don't really feel like editing them one by one if they just need resizing. :p

Thanks for all. It's nice they played good during the second set even it's as usual the conclusion was the loss lol I already heard mahut in english and it wasn't impressiv to be honest but it was a long time since he surely improved.

Take your time for the pics

David Guez plays Rennes, maybe Bruno will come and also coaches Arno next week

Maybe juste because she used to hear arnaud's english
Compare to him, it's easy to be good.

Probably.

ps: THANKS A LOT Kezzi !!! :worship:

You're welcome! I enjoy taking pics of Arno and also enjoy sharing them. :) I still have a lot from Halle and Rosmalen to sort out also.
Got a comment on that pic from someone I know, he called Arno's look priceless. :p

I never talked to Mahut before, so I didn't know his English at all. But I didn't hear that typical French accent and he talked really easy, so maybe that's why I was impressed. :)

Hope Bruno will be there, would be nice for Arno to have him there. :D

Then we count on you to entertain us with new photos of Arnaud during the off-season ;)

And of course, thank you so much for the picture and reports! You brought a positive note to Arnaud's latest results which look really pitiful on paper

Oh and Mahut's English must be good indeed, I remember his "I am Nicolas Mahutte" from some interview - the guy even adjusts his name so it'd sound better in English
David Guez plays Rennes, maybe Bruno will come and also coaches Arno next week
Hope they won't play each other at least, it wouldn't make Bruno happy

Sidorenko...I remember of an articleabout him in tennis magazine some years ago, he was like 12. LOL
He was also in the tv show "tout le monde en parle" some years later.

Really ? I don't remember that  He did nothing special in his carreer except win the AO junior. He's more a clay court player and for the double i don't think it's a great one  Play the double before his single match should help Arno to train his serve  Guez won the future he played this week.
