Re: US Open Series 2009

Sorry.
You were well advised to go to bed after the 2nd set.

Ok break Rafa and set 6-3. GaŽl managed to save 3 SP with 3 great BHs but that wasn't enough. This is a great match right now but kjyufuygbkytkuytigyutt fuck my he_d fell down on the keybo_rd _nd there's _ possibility the A letter st_yed encrusted in my forehe_d.

Better get to sleep then

Be quiet I'm here too ! That's so cool to share this match with you Pixie !

Monfils breaks backs ! He's rock solid right now and his CC BH is very good. The rallies are amazing. Ouch another BP.

Re: US Open Series 2009

Very tight beginning of 2nd set and the fact Nadal was able to deal with some massive FHs of GaŽl doesn't smell good at all. Not sure he could last long playing like this. 2-1* Nadal.

BTW that's very interesting to talk alone.

Especially when you're worn out.

Re: US Open Series 2009

First set GaŽl ! An unusual mistake at 3-2* by Nadal and a good stop volley at 4*-3 to clinch it.

Re: US Open Series 2009

well 5-4*. Too bad GaŽl can't volley because he tries too much and ends big rallies with some UEs there...

Great beginning of match for GaŽl up 5-2*.

Je vais m'endormir sur le clavier par contre.

It's funny how everytime he stops playing for a while he comes back playing really aggressively and looking so impressive. Then after a while he goes back to is old style. I really hope this time he sticks to it, he would be such a force.

Re: US Open Series 2009

I saw a bit of Nadal vs Amalgro and i don't know how gael could lose For the moment the draw has been really with him. The quarter vs Gonzo or Jo could he first clash for him. This USO sounds good

Re: US Open Series 2009

In his French interviews he says he isn't afraid of Nadal physically (because the journalist says a lot of players are). But mentally. It still takes a big effort for him to stay close to his baseline, to not move back when things are getting tough. In Montreal he still had to repeat to himself after each point that he needed to be more aggressive. It's getting better here, but it's a fight with himself and it costs a lot of energy.
He sounds incredibly excited about the Nadal match in his audio interview.

I was listening to his press conference, and what does he answer when he's asked about the next step? They laugh, but I don't understand what he says:

His wide-eyed face during the question about the women's draw is quite priceless.

Re: US Open Series 2009

When GaŽl plays aggressive tennis and mix it with defense like in this first set vs Acasuso, it's a joy to watch.
