Re: Commentary at its best

What kind of crap commentary is this at Fox Sports 3 ? They say "unfortunately Murray couldn't make the shot" oh wait. Aren't you supposed to be neutral?

Re: Commentary at its best

Wally Masur, when seeing Didier Tsonga, he said there is Didier Drogba. Oh! did I just say Drogba.

When Roddick was mouthing to Monfils about being cocky. Raoux and Woodforde said, well Monfils could say the same thing about him.

Re: Commentary at its best

Eagle and Masur during the Seppi/Blake match.

Seppi : He is a very calm character and not as emotional as the other Italian players.

Eagle: Yes, he is from the north a bit more class.
Masur : From Tuscany, though he is from South Tyrol and they aren't that close.

Re: Commentary at its best

Some more rippers from Newc and senile Stolle:

"there have been a lot of upsets on court 2 over the years, due to the noise on the court"

"This is a very tough draw for Federer" (Lu then GGL then Kohly then Soderz. )

followed by:

"It gets tougher as you go through" :retard:

"It's unusual to see Federer as #2" (where have you been for the past 12 months?)

"Lu has won 10 titles, mostly at challenger level"

"Federer has only lost once here (at wimbledon)"

Re: Commentary at its best

Thanks for those Jimbo, I am watching Fox and the streams, but did Newk say "Cmon mate" in the Hewitt match?

Masur about Gabashvili. I admire the guy, but he is one of the least talented guys in the top 100.

Watched some of the Hewitt match but didn't listen to it, was concentrating on the french ponies.

;)

Masur = finest player to come out of Canberra.

Greg Rusedski during the Lopez-Beck match yesterday: "Beck has a career high ranking of 36 in the world. That means that once he was the 36th best player in the world."

Re: Commentary at its best

Mark Woodforde:

(during Troicki-Murray)

"I don't know what they feed these players down in Serbia, maybe some kind of growing pills. Troicki stands at 6'4"... Janko Tipsarevic, he'd probably the smallest of the bunch... He'd be at least 6'1"."

I'm not certain, but I doubt Tipsy is even 6 foot. Another example of Woodforde talking out of his arse. If you don't know what you're talking about, just stfu.

Masur about Haas.

"There are a few wires in Tommy's brain that don't fuse sometimes."

Re: Commentary at its best

Against Gulbis the british commentators celebrated Murray for "single handedly bringing the one handed backhand slice back into mens tennis." :scared:

:scared:
McEnroe called Troicki "Trotsky".
:haha: :haha: :haha:

Too bad I'm missing the action...

Re: Commentary at its best

Henman yesterday on BBC1: "I was very nervous playing on centre court, the big arena, SF's etc.."
Johnny Mac: "Yes, me too, such a big occasion, but we got through it. What about you Andrew? (Castle) What were your results Like?" (titter, snigger)
Andrew Castle: Hmmm uhhhh!
Mr Smug made speechless, love it!

Re: Commentary at its best

Woodforde and Newcombe again:

"I dont think there's any rule about barracking for the person you want to win." :retard:

"It's like player z was out there for 2 sets, and player a has now stepped up."

"maybe roachie gave him a bashing when they stepped off, a verbal bashing"
