John is fit so time to revive the thread.

Yesterday he double-bagelled (yes) Broady, so he's in the semis of first tournament back and will play another Brit Dan Evans

Clearly John has picked up a niggle during the Sunshine Swing, as he has now withdrawn from his next couple of events and signalled his intention to come home to Brisbane for a while.

Bit of a shame given that he is defending nothing at the moment, but nothing lost either and you'd much rather he gets the body right for the clay season than try and play on while not 100% (which is what hobbled him at this time last year).

the Mailman in 2.
this match was a hard forecast for me. in fact, even gave a slight edge to Carreno Busta.
Johnnie, go deeper.

A straightforward win over Pablo Carreno Busta, now faces Cuevas. A very beatable seed.

Johnny's results on these slower hard courts bodes well four his first full ATP clay season!

Johnson was pretty good in Indian Wells 2016 w/ his serve.

positive that we will see John improve his matches to come.

Disappointing loss but many positives to see from John's game. Firstly, he looks like he wants to come to the net more often which is good. Although it isnt at the required stage yet, it is good that he is improving his game which will help him over the year.

Good win, now to fry a bigger fish!

Mailman should be safely back into top 70 again, back on track to get an even better CH in the coming months

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

Yes, nice for John to get his first masters win, though in fairness to Sam, had he drawn a player currently ranked 176, he might have won too, current crap form notwithstanding!

And John has thumped Sarkissian twice before in the not too distant past, and he bagelled him on one of those occasions too...
