Roger. I hope he can make a full recovery.

Re: Roger news and articles

Hoping he'll be fully fit very soon. And that he doesn't do anything stupid like spilling a pack of frozen peas on the floor and trying to get down to the floor to pick them up in the days after surgery (which is what I did when I had an arthroscopy - it "ripped" the injury back open again and delayed my recovery).

Re: Roger news and articles

So it's my fault. My black magic/Hoodoo doomed him (When i said he never wins anything big again)

Too bad i don't believe that kind of shit So may his recovery be fast and comeback furious

Roger underwent a knee surgery and will miss Rotterdam and Dubai

From his homepage:

Roger Federer undergoes successful arthroscopic knee surgery, expected to miss his next two scheduled tournaments

17-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery today in Switzerland to repair a torn meniscus, according to Tony Godsick, his agent at TEAM8. The injury happened the day after the semi-final match in Australia. As a result, Federer has withdrawn from the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam (Feb 8-21) and the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships in Dubai (Feb 22-27). “I am so disappointed to have to miss Rotterdam and Dubai as they are two of my favorite tournaments on the ATP World Tour," Federer said. "While this is an unfortunate setback, I feel grateful that up until now I have remained mostly healthy throughout my career. My doctors have ensured me that the surgery was a success and with proper rehabilitation, I will be able to return to the Tour soon.”

Re: Roger news and articles

I hope you will start the thread

Basilashvili is not a bad draw for R1. Dolgopolov for R2 would not have been my first choice. Nor Dimitrov for R3 but that's mainly because I'd like to see both in R4....but let's not see too far ahead, never know what might happen.

Does anyone care if I start the thread ? Any volunteers or newbies interested?

Re: Roger news and articles

Severin Lüthi told Swiss media that Roger will add a tournament on clay before RG but doesn't know yet which one

Re: Roger news and articles

Toronto won't get sacrificed I think
It will be a Rio preparation on hard (and same time zone, no?)
And if he really misses 3x1000 points on clay Masters, then I can't see him zapping Toronto

Re: Roger news and articles

Note it's only "tentative". I can't really see him going into RG without any warm-up. He may be waiting to see what the situation in Turkey is before committing to anywhere else.

But that's a *very* long stretch between RG and the US Open. Anyone want to bet Toronto gets sacrificed?
