Re: Young guns from Serbia

Pedja Krstin born in 1994 won his first 10,000 Future tournament in Kazakstan last night, and last week he reached the semifinals in an 15,000 dollar event, beating guys like Tim Puetz (302) and lost the semifinals against David Guez in 3 sets.

Well done Pedja! An new Lajovic guy?

Re: Young guns from Serbia

I'd say that Danilo is second best in that generation (1992).
Was very good prospect, ranked 276 in TE U14 2004 final rankings, while, for example, Janowicz was #274, Lajovic #355, Fucsovics #418. Was ranked #70 in 2006 TE U14 final rankings.

Played EU summer and Winter Cups, representing Serbia in U14, U16 and U18.

Re: Young guns from Serbia

Anybody knows something about Danilo Petrovic?
He's playing futures back from 2008!!! Don't know anything about his junior career, nut seems that he didn't play much on that level.
He's 551st in rankings, got some finals and SFs future level, and even played qualies of Montpelier back in 2010.

Re: Young guns from Serbia

I don't believe so Nathalia. Jankovic is a very common surname in Serbia. A bit like Smith in England

Is he related to Jelena?

Re: Young guns from Serbia

Ok, now I don't mean to sound sycophantic, but how about this for a quite astonishing win.

Miki Jankovic (unrated, 16 years old) beats second seed, and world number 330, Aldin Sektic, 6-3, 7-6 in the Belgrade futures.

Quite amazing stuff. This kid could be something else.
