Re: The "RF" chat thread

At least they have the links to Roger's other social medias on the main page of the forum and some links to sponsors so that I'm hopeful that the site will be back.
I don't post so much on RF.com but it's always a helpful site to get informations and I love the tournament report section and of course the RE thread.
It would be such a shame if we wouldn't get the site back with all the stuff written over there for so many years

Like @Kat_YYZ wrote the forum is an important place for many fans who don't want to use FB and/or Twitter and who might not be able at the moment to communicate with friends they were in contact with on RF.com

I also heard from people who are frequently on FB and/or Twitter but who say they are surprised how much they miss RF.com even though not being so active over there anymore compared to former times.

They don't need much, just a simple site with a simple enough forum. I don't know that a lot of moderation is necessary -- I mean... compared to this place! . Perhaps if they add an ignore function some people can finally stop their tedious spats but its mostly pretty petty stuff IMO.

There are online friendships among users there that are 5-10 years old, of people who live on different sides of the planet from each other. And some of those people don't care to use social media accounts for that purpose. I wonder if some of the users will have just moved on and won't return when (if?) the site comes back. Sometimes when you're forced to break a habit, you just don't return to it. It's sad to see forums dying out everywhere.

Yeah, that was a sad draw. They could have done with a bit more luck. Or Dimitrov could, in the end it I guess didn't matter for Del Potro.

It's always amazing to get to see Roger playing live, even more so on grass of course. I also decided to go to Stuttgart because of Del Potro and Dimitrov
Too bad that they had to meet in R1 though

Hi Kat

I was in Stuttgart from Monday on until today and will go to Halle next week.

My Stuttgart trip was quite a spontaneous decision as I combined the tennis with meeting a good friend of mine (who's not a tennis fan...) who I haven't seen since nearly 6 years.

Re: The "RF" chat thread

It's interesting to see how Federer's comeback begins. Tennis is in grim condition right now and it needs Federer, Nadal and Del Potro back and in shape, so we can enjoy some good tennis not that one man show we have right now.

I never said I wouldn't do the Favorite Players Thread this year, it's just that I considered to start it a bit later maybe as people seem to prefer to vote later on in the season.
