"I'm disappointed about the match today. There was a lot of wind, difficult conditions," Djokovic said. "He played better and deserved to win.

"My forehand didn't really work today and you could see in all the important moments he served to my forehand and I couldn't put the ball in. It was just a bad day."

The left-handed Nieminen coped with the swirling wind better than the error-prone Djokovic to claim his first win over the Serbian in three matches.

Good thing that he will have more time to rest, but his forehand was He made like 10 errors just hitting ball with frame, and again no #2 spot But Jarrko played realy well, so he deserved this win

The winner of Sydney has NEVER done well in Melbourne - so try and look on the positive side
Also, thinking positively, at least he gained some points.

So we could have had a dream final... but what we're getting is Nalbandian vs Nieminen

But like Rose said, it's only Sydney. Melbourne is much more important

When I saw the wind during warm up, I had a not-so-good feeling already and the wind picked up during the game. Nole already had a hard time handling Jarkko's no pace, no power serve, got frustrated with the wind and well, totally lost it on the court.

Have to give a hand to Nieminen as he played a very good game with many excellent winners.

I could have a dream final, if Richie can keep it up and remove LE. Think laptop will have to travel this weekend. Nole is perverse though.

Nole should not have problem except that Jarkko has a night off while Nole spent whole night getting hot and cold.

I'm very glad for Djokovic, and I'll be even happier if he beats Gasquet tomorrow (tonight )
