A very nice win for Marin, in 3 sets, I expected a bigger fight from Haase. I wasn't able to see it but obviously it wasn't a pretty match. 34 winners and 56 UEs, Marin had acceptable 4/9 BPs conversation, but Haase 2/16
They played for almost 3 hours. Wawrinka next for Marin. Good luck
According to Dutch commentators - the match wasn't broadcasted here but they kept us informed - Haase played below his normal level. Might have been a bit prejudiced, though.
Have to say, if there have been two players really disadvantaged by the rain delays it must have been these two. The game was interrupted yesterday during the first set TB (4-4), then again somewhere during the beginning of the third (not sure about that, correct me if I'm wrong), and got interrupted AGAIN at 5-6 in the final set...
Kudos to Marin for pulling it off eventually.
Robin - better luck next time.
Great win for Marin! I feel sorry for Haase but hopefully he'll have better luck next time. Wawrinka leads 3-0 agains marin and is in a great form so Marin will have to paly his best if he was to have any chance against Wawrinka.
Good win for Marin.
But I doubt he can be a serious threat for Wawrinka.
