The 29 year old fought off two match points against his 6'8" opponent as he served at 4-5 in the deciding set. Rosol went on to break Janowicz in the following game, and capped the triumph with his 13th ace.

"[Players] can make a comeback, whatever the score," Janowicz said. "[Rosol] served well.

"Losses happen. This is not my first - and hopefully will not be my last - final. I'm looking forward to the next tournament. I am playing well. I had a great week here in Winston-Salem," Janowicz added.

Rosol has experienced a resurgence as of late, reaching the quarter-finals or better at his last five tournaments. His previous three final outings came last year in Bucharest (d. Garcia-Lopez) and this year in Bucharest (l. to Dimitrov) and Stuttgart (l. to Bautista Agut). He joins Tomas Berdych (Rotterdam) as the second Czech winner on the ATP World Tour this year.

The Brno native collects $80,280 and 250 Emirates ATP Rankings points for his victory. He will climb six places to a career-high No. 27 in the Emirates ATP Rankings on Monday. The 23-year-old Janowicz, for his runner-up finish, is expected to rise from No. 52 to 43; he earns $45,705 and 150 Emirates ATP Rankings points.
