Re: What was the last movie you saw?

Watched the first Iron Man again. Good first half, bad second half. As nearly all super-heroes movies, useless waste of time.

Also watched Gremlins. Found average, quite silly with some mildly funny scenes. Not worth watch it.

The Martian. More realistic than I expected. Well done, but not quite as good as ratings suggest (imo).

The Net 2.0 I didn't think it was as good as The Net.

Re: What was the last movie you saw?

My American Uncle. 3 characters are introduced and scenes from their lives are played out, these scenes demonstrating the evolutionary psychology theories of Henri Laborit; woman wants to tell her married boyfriend how she feels but can't = inhibition, a young child is promised 15 francs if he comes first in his class = reward, 2 rats trapped in a small room with an electrified floor starting to fight is juxtaposed with a couple arguing e.t.c.

Truth be told, I don't think I've seen another film quite like this. Some of the theories on human behaviour may be a little out of date (made in the 80s), Nicole Garcia's acting lets the film down on occasion, and even though the content of the movie is fascinating, it ain't always handled subtly (at one point you have humans wearing rat outfits fighting each other to mirror the experiment). Very good movie, although kinda depressing in the way the characters' individual personalities become more defined + classified as the movie progresses and the laws of society decides their paths for them (c'est la vie I suppose).

One average performance and a lack of subtlety in parts, combined with the lack of cinematographic flair (Sacha Vierny being forced to play second-fiddle to Henri's theories) + avant-garde editing of earlier Resnais movies means it's a minor step below Hiroshima, Marienbad + Providence. 8/10

A million ways to die in e west.

This. Is. The. Worst. Film. I. Have. Ever. Endured.

Is. Is. Worse.than. Star. Wars. Episode. One

Seth. McFarlane. Is a worse. Actor. Than . Hayden. Christiansen.

Ted, had funny moments, and at least could be enjoyed in an immature kind of way

I hate Seth mcfarlen, I hate him for making this horrible horrible mess. I've never hated someone for making a bad film. I've never hated a talented film maker for align out. I forgave Stephen Spielberg basically making shit films for the last 20 years because he did make Indiana jones and jaws

Seth mcfarlen hasn't done anything to warrant his success

His acting is like waiting kittens drown slowly, whilst your hands are forced to hold the kittens under water

His really bad sense of humor doesn't even show up here, he is literally out ideas

I think it's really offensive when people compare South Park to family guy, South Park uses toilet humor usually to tell an intelligent story, it actually has moments of brilliance

Family guy uses toilet humor because Seth mcfarlen is a talentless bastard

I hate that guy

Fuck him
