We all know how well Brydan has been doing over the past few months, so it's about time that we gave him his own thread. Keep working hard, playing well, and even more impressive results shall follow. Congrats and good luck Brydan
brydan is the fifth seed at the Sawtell Futures this week and he won his first round match against a qualifier 6-1, 6-0. Hopefully he can do well over the next few weeks and crack the top 500 by the end of the year
Q/F
(5) Brydan Klein (AUS) def. (2) Samuel Groth (AUS) 6-3, 6-3
Brydan is through to the semi finals
He plays Marinko Matosevic for a place in the final.
A pretty impressive comeback for someone who was barred for 2 months
By making it to the semi finals this week, Brydan will see his ranking rise to about 720. If he makes the final he should be about 650 and if he wins the tournament, 600.
Brydan is participating in the Australian Open playoff this week at Melbourne Park. Hopefully, he does well, and he might sneak a main draw wildcard. Otherwise, he is guaranteed a qualifying wildcard after winning the juniors last year
TNZ always like to dish out on the Aussies on their website BTW, like Alison Bai was mentioned as ''beatable'' in relation to Amelia Harris and some of the Aussies last year weren't exactly embraced by TNZ
