If you hate rain as much as I do, please post in here!

How many times has play been suspended so far?

They say "you don´t need a weather man to know which way the wind blows", but in this case, good luck we have you Paul :worship:

Just glad to be of service :D Mind you at this rate my head to head's will be of waste and probably the exact same matches for tomorrow. LOL. Well at the moment the rain is just getting worse and worse Im afraid.

Ok the weatherman says the rain should stop in about 30 to 40 mins and then there should be no continuous rain after that. But there still should be some stoppages in play. But at the moment it is still raining heavily.
The weathermen in this country have made some shocking forcasts in the past though, so its by no means a given that we'll get any play at all today. Even if they get under way eventually, that wind is beastly. I sure wouldn't want to play in those conditions. It's frustrating because here, just about 6/7 miles east we haven't really had that much rain and its bone dry now, although the wind is awful.

Still I've been here long enough to expect this, and I am enjoying these classic matches the BBC are showing, quite a bit. :)

Well they said here that all 2nd round matches are already called off. And I guess it's not clearing up around 4 like they originally said? :(

Thanks for the update Paul. I only wish I could send them my weather, it;s not nice, but at least it's not rain. Hmm I think I'll have to do another rain dance to pass the time, else I'll start getting fed up and I don't like to get moody.:)

I live in the UK for nearly 3 years now and rain is something you deal with nearly every week here... And what a surprise it was really hot two weeks ago and started to get worse last week end! There is a curse on tennis's head i'm telling you...

Re: The Rain Haters thread

Thanks AGAIN!!

Here are some updates from the Moderator at the live ESPN chat from Wimbledon:

"A couple changes made to the schedule .. on Thursday and Friday, play on the outside courts will begin at 11 a.m. local time and the Men's Doubles has been reduced to 3 sets up until but not including the quarterfinals" (FINALLY!!!!!!)

"They prefaced the announcement by saying they would not start again if an ''imminent chance of rain persisted'' .. it does look rather imminent .. "

"We are still awaiting the start of play .. the tarps are still on .. the wind is still whipping around ... "
